Editor's Note: This is my new piece for the
PoetryChallenge , the regularly scheduled Blog has been postponed until I have a chance to write it. K? So, I shall include the poetry thing here for all to read...
Down to the River... And into this life, a little rain must fall,
Falling gently upon the earth
And so the circle of life continues
As I have been destined from birth...
Upon the ground and into the soil,
Giving life to all that is seen -
All the wide-open plains -
All the forests so green...
Some of my life to the river I go
And flow as it must,
Watering the countryside,
Bringing life from the dust...
And to a lake, a great inland sea -
The waters are alive
From the fish to the amoeba,
The water's do thrive...
And as the sun beats down,
Giving warmth to the lake.
The waters move on -
Life doesn't take a break...
Into the sky and into the clouds,
The waters must move on
From the edges of Heaven
To the new dew of dawn...
In the waters, we live
And without them, we die
From the juice of a kiss
To the tear of a cry...
