Poetry Songs @ MindSay

   Music is very tightly entwined with our emotions. For instance-When I am very angry or feeling hurt I listen to hard music. The type of music you can scream with over and over until you no longer remember what you were screaming about. Or when I feel lonely? I listen to the older mellow songs. Things from Julie London, Vast, and acoustic stuff from rock bands. Songs that break your heart over and over until the shards are too small to see. Happy songs are more upbeat. These songs make you want to dance around the room and swing to the drums that aren't even there. They make you want to hug somebody just because you can.  Then come the really interesting ones. Those songs you hear on the radio that run through your head the rest of the day. Those songs you hum into your loves ear. Those songs that just naturally get your blood pumping and your body swaying to that age old rhythm that can never be taught. 

   All music affects us in some way. It's inevitable. Whether we like it or not. Whether we feel moved by it or just listen because that's all we can hear. No matter what it is, we feel it. We react and in the end we are influenced by it.

Hello All,

It has been such a while, I know.

I guess I have not been feeling it, but I am hopeful. I know I should be with every passing day, a new dawn and all that, but I am starting with the new year and working down. (Transitions can be difficult!)

I have been trying to think of a way to post my poetry here and any insight would be great as you can surely tell from the dullness of my page, I have not yet figured out how this all works, and truthfully, I have not devoted as much time to it as I had intended to. Do I just post it, do I need to copyright, I don't know!

I really do welcome your comments, insights, advice, whatever you want to call them.

We are all begininers here at something and we all have the ability to teach something to somebody!

To all the students and teachers out there, can't wait to be a part of your calssroom!
