CONCERT!

OMFG...I think this is the funnest concert I have had in a looong time. I recieved lots of compliments.. Ihave never bopped my head durning jazz band or anything..I was moving and having a great time! I loved it...a few of my friends were there and Eric showed up. Tyler, Jake, Will, Graham, Phill...uh if I missed someone..sorry...They all sounded great with their solo's. When I'm 64 was pretty good and I have never played it better. Now it is time to just kick back and relax a little bit...there is still graduation...but that won't be much of a drag. We play P and C over and over for like 15 minutes and then we sit there and watch people walk..

I can't wait until next year, but at the same time I am like super scared. I am going to pretty much be almost grown up and will be out on my own...

Well, I really don't have else to say. Just wanted to say that the concert was pretty cool and seniors next year are going to pick awesomer music!!!

great place to play
Wednesday night we were all bored. Hannah had been saying "Play with all the kids?" for a couple of evenings. And it's been too cold to go to the park during the day. Seemed like the evening routine needed some spicing up. So Thursday when Clint got home, we went out for dinner. We hit the Chinese Buffet, and then the toy store. Hannah hasn't really realized that people buy things at the toy store. To her, it's a great place to play. She doesn't want to take anything home. Just play with it for a while, and then move on to something else. She had a fabulous time snuggling the stuffed animals, climbing in and out of the riding toys (bikes, kiddie cars).

Playing in the Water

Yesterday, my kayaking partner wasn't able to go play, so I was on my own with no shuttle.  Instead of letting that get in my way of having a good time, I decided to go out to the State Park and paddle upstream from there.  I fought the current for about 5 miles before heading back and had a wonderful time.  I was able to see lots of wildlife on the short little river trip, which was a nice bonus.  Here's a picture of an American Coot with a beer can.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Yes, I picked up the beer can.

(no subject)

So, didn't get the chapman stick, im alittle bummed about that, it would deffinatly have been a cool instrument to play but i take it as a sign that im not ready for such a complex instrument. But today i have been notified i won the roland v-bass synth processor, its no instruemnt but its an effect processor that will last me a life time, and one i've been wanting to put into my arsenal for a long time. Band practice was great yestarday. From playing so much together now we are really really atune to one another. We have created 4 or 5 new songs in the last 2 jams and we are really striving to get some good quality recording done. We have alot of gigs coming up including the last charity jam (#3) some unannounced dates as an opening act for some good friends Chinese Finger trap, a festival with chinese finger trap, Dousman Durby days, A few coffee shop gigs, Launchpad finals, and SUMMERFEST!
