Picture Over-load is imminant!
I'm just going to take a deep breath and post all of the photos from our May Day/Beltaine. So you are warned...

14 photos.

Here was our little May-Pole with Savannah and I decorating it.

My bleeding hearts are in bloom.

Josh's new Schwinn.

Our little notes that we wrote for bringing more passion into a relationship or attracting a love.

The May Pole afterwards.

I let Savannah play with the May Pole afterwards.

The Ginger cookies I made for the special day.

So was that too much? Too many pictures? I have more pictures tomorrow but I'll break that one up into two days worth. It should make it a little easier.

How To Post a Picture

This post is for davidsbliss, but I thought it might come in handy for lots of people.

  Image hosted by Photobucket.com

This is the long version of how to do it from begining to end.  From resizing, to uploading to posting on Mindsay.  I have included pictures that help illustrate how to do it.  I wish someone had made this kind of post for me.  I had to bungle around until I figured it out for myself.  Its seems kinda complecated, but once you get the hang of it, posting pictures is really pretty easy.

Step 1

Since Mindsay does not host the pictures in our blogs, you first have to find a photo hosting service.  I use Photobucket ( www.photobucket.com ).  There might be better services out there, but photobucket is free and I have never had any problems with it and I post lots of pictures.

Step 2

After you decide what photo you want to post.  You'll need to get it properly sized.  I use Microsoft Paint and just about everyone should have it on their computer since it comes free with most computers.

Hit CTRL-W in Paint and it will let you strech/skew (resize) the picture.

I try to get my photos to about 700 by 500 pixels.  You can check that by looking at the atributes.

Then save the resized photo.

Step 3

The next thing to do is to upload the resized picture to the hosting service.  Like I said I use Photobucket, so the example pictures will reflect that setup.

After signing in to Photobucket press the Browse button to choose the picture to upload.

After selecting the photo click on the submit button.

Step 4

In another window, open up your Mindsay account and click on BLOG.  Type you blog in like normal and then comes the tricky part.  On the blog screen is a little button the switches the text you just typed in HTML.

Press that button.

Step 5

Switch back over to the Photobucket window.  Under each of the pictures that you uploaded is three sets of routing code.  We want the middle one called TAG.

Copy that code and then switch back to the Mindsay window that you have open.

Step 6

Paste the TAG code from photobucket in the Blog entry, when it is in HTML format.

Step 7

Publish Entry.

It sometimes takes a little while to get all of the sizing just right and you have to be careful not to messup any of the text when you are posting the TAG code into the HTML formated blog entry, otherwise it will screw up the format.  But after a few mess ups you should be able to iron out any wrinkles that may occur.

If anyone has any questions on this, just let me know and I'll try and clarify it.
