For four years now, every Saturday, Pete Seeger has been taking his trademark banjo and standing out on the intersection of route 9 and 9D "The Hudson Valley POW-MIA Memorial Highway" to protest the war in Iraq.
While there, he also picks up litter, saying that he likes to do his little bit. He also says that working for peace is like "adding sand to a basket on one side of a large scale, trying to tip it one way despite enormous weight on the opposite side. Some of us try to add more sand by teaspoons...(but) it's leaking out as fast as it goes in..."
