Personal Trainer @ MindSay
I got a three month gym pass for my birthday!
I am so thankful and excited!
I have gone about 4 times and loving it.
I love the eliptical machines, free weights, weight machines and the whirlpool!
I want to attend a class but the only one I can go to without paying extra is aerobics at 6 am!
Ugg! I'm typing this at 1 am! I used to be a morning person, until I married a night owl.
Now, I love staying up late! Even though I would love to become a morning person, I even yearn for it, when it becomes night, I just want to stay up and enjoy myself without any kids or other responsibilities!
Tomorrow I scheduled an orientation meeting with a personal trainer.
At an all women's gym I attended in Columbus, my orientation rocked. I was measured, weighed, and aquanted with the equipment and how much I handle. I was given a nice card to track my progress and keep me focused with my work outs.
I really hope my meeting is like that experience!
If it's not, I'm going to make my own work out card and bring it with me when I work out.
I love seeing progress on paper!
I actually love the shape of my body (in clothes) but I want to be healthier and stronger. (I have one more month of planned breastfeeding left, so after I "deflate" I will want to lose my extra tummy flubber and shave off some of my hips.
Just going to the gym inspires me to eat right and even sign up for a road race!
My baby just woke up, I better feed him.
:) Good night!
The Women's Show is always an exercise in patience. As I was in a pretty amiable frame of mind going in, this year's was a lot of fun. Going literally shoulder-to-shoulder with several thousand other women, some of whom, due to the sheer numbers, are bound to display the very worst of human behaviour, is enough to put you over the edge if you're already feeling at all pessimistic or irritable. Thankfully, my inner rageaholic didn't even hint at emerging until I had finished scoping out the majority of the booths -- maybe it was just the calming effect of all the pretty shiny things.
I also emerged with an appointment for a chiropractic consultation after having my posture and neck alignment assessed. Apparently I'm woefully misaligned -- though fairly skeptical knowing that the chiropractor has a huge financial interest in diagnosing misalignments willy-nilly. But since they were offering deeply discounted chiropractic evaluations ($35 rather than $275) with all of the associated revenue going to the local children's hospital, I figured I'd give it a go -- it can't hurt to get checked out since essentially, my body is my job. Okay, that sounded really bad -- let me just take a moment to clarify that I'm embarking on a part-time career as a personal trainer, not a hooker. Lol!
Went for my first wedding dress fitting yesterday -- very exciting! It fits like the proverbial dream, except, naturally, for the length -- at 4'11" I just take it for granted that anything that fits my upper half will need about two feet lopped off the bottom.
Am going to an Epicure party tomorrow -- I've never attended one but their guacamole mix makes the best damn guac I've ever tasted. Yum!
Barry Bonds' personal trainer refused to testify Thursday to the federal grand jury investigating the slugger for perjury and could be sent back to prison.
Greg Anderson, who served three months in prison after pleading guilty last year for his role in the Bay Area Laboratory Co-Operative steroid scandal, could be sent back to prison if found in contempt of court for refusing to testify.
A hearing will be held next Wednesday, and Judge William Alsup said he would rule next week on whether Anderson should be found in contempt.
