Paula Abdul @ MindSay
- First of all, I'd like to thank you for welcoming my pal, chatnoir to Mindsay. He is really interested in conversing with people about their political and world views. He says that he is more interested in the discourse than the actual posting of blogs, but being the
pushypersuasive person that I am, I keep trying to get him to realize that posting encourages discourse.
- Today is the day of the family meeting where my parents will officially announce they are getting divorced. *rolls eyes* . Have you ever wished you could just skip over certain aspects of your life? Geez us! My sister is planning on dodging the meeting. True to form, she will use the old avoidance technique. That strategy never worked for me because I was alway expected to do and put up with everything. It's the burden of the oldest female child isn't it?
- Ah yes, the good ol plant a diversion / divide and conquer strategy. Why do the Democrats always fall for this shit? John McCain is sure to win because A) We're so busy worrying about the words of someone NOT running for president. and B) Hillary Clinton supporters would rather vote for McCain out of spite than to vote for Obama if he gets the nomination and vice versa.
Pick up a copy of Sun Tzu's The Art of War Dummycrats! Duh! Get your heads out of your asses and wake the fuck up! However, I may be asking for too much. It's like watching a kid build a tower of blocks. No matter how many times you tell them they can't stack them that high, they keep doing it so you just sit and wait for the damn thing to collapse. If the Democrats lose the presidency this time, they only have themselves to blame.
- Poor Paula Abdul! Lawd have mercy! I think she may have an addiction to prescription drugs. If you noticed her performance on the video, "Dance Like There's No Tomorrow", she's hardly moving. It is a far cry from her "Straight Up" and "Forever Your Girl" days. I know she had some back problems, but how bad were they?
Eva Longoria's wedding? I could care less.
Linday Lohan's return to sobriety? That is good for her but I would rather see her in a bikini. Or a movie.
Paris. Of course I want to know all about her and her doings.
Britany. I want nothing to know about her.
Paula Abdul? Why is she even in this entry?
Racheal Ray? Girl, go and cook some ribs with some be quiet recipies!
Jennifer Aniston? Can we escape to some pizza and a couple of beers?
HIllary Duff? Thank you for being so hot and innocent and keep up the good work.
Jessica Alba? Same as above and thanks for being so damn hot!
Nicole Ritchie? Ooo gross.
Dave Navarro? You are the man. Wish I could play guitar like you.
O.k, maybe I have been reading too much of Perezhilton.com and or X17online.com. Shame on me. But a job should be coming along soon (Thank God!).
But first, it's ABC rant time. ABC made me wait like a month for a new "explosive" episode of LOST. There are only three episodes left, and they have promised that all of my questions would be answered, so I figured this episode would have to be a good one.
Yeah, it blew. It told me absolutely nothing. Did pretty much nothing to further the plot. Answered pretty much none of my questions. And was all in all a pretty worthless way to spend my time. Anger. Experiencing extreme anger.
Now to discuss the Fallen Idol - ABC preempted Eyes last night to run a special on Corey Clark, a finalist during the second season of American Idol.
He claims that Paula coached him on what songs to sing, bought him clothes to wear during his performances, and had lots and lots of sex with him.
First off, he kept mentioning how secretive she wanted their relationship to be. And yet he says they went to a Sprint store and she bought him a cell phone just for them to talk. But despite this new cell phone, he claims he has records of hours and hours of phone bills from his parent's house. His mom claims she would answer the phone and it would be Paula. Why did she buy him a cell phone if she was just going to call his house? And she says they went shopping all the time and she bought him clothes. Also, his friends talk about how Corey would bring her to clubs with him and they'd be kissing and touching hands. Obviously Paula isn't very good at this secretive stuff.
But despite all that, even if it is true, who the hell cares? What different does it make?
They interviewed a bunch of American Idol contestants who didn't make it to the top 12. They were saying things like, "If the judges are going to be unfair like that, they might as well just sign their own singers and make them act however they want."
Why? What does that have to do with anything? I'm sure they could (and probably have) signed their own singers when they wanted to, but that isn't the point of the show. The point is they are looking for someone to be picked by America. Paula can tell one of the contestants, "I think this song would be really good for you," or "I think you'd look really nice in this shirt," but none of that matters. She isn't the one picking the contestants. I could understand where a problem would arise if she was in charge of who won, then there is a conflict of interest, but she has no say in who moves on to the next round. America does. And if America thinks he is disgusting or can't sing or is annoying, he isn't going to make it. So who cares if she had an affair with him? It doesn't matter.
And meanwhile, he has a tell all book coming out and is making a new album. In his interview he said, "This has nothing to do with publicity. I just needed to clear my concious. I had to get things off my chest. And if that means Paula has to suffer, so be it."
Yeah, your concious has no problem potentially ruining someone's career to further your own, and that concious just happens to attack while your album is being released. Coincidence is an amazing thing.
By the way, Corey was yanked from the competition after it was discovered that he had been arrested for beating up his sister and then lying about. Reuben Studdard went on to win American Idol that year, and Clay Aiken was the runner up. Paula Abdul denies all alogations.
