Well we have about 12 more hours left of the blizzard conditions. My mom's work (the hospital) sent almost everyone home and only 1 person per department and those who lived in the town stayed. So my mom and my friend that works at the hospital didn't have to go to work yesterday.
Randy and I look like we are stuck at home another day. Our hiways and the interstates we drive are still closed. He probably could get to work becuase IA doesn't have gaurd gates but he isn't going to try it. Since I work in SD there is no way I can get to work today because my interstate (same one as his only IA/SD-not just IA) has guards up on the exits.
So we will be cleaning and the kids want some home made cin rolls, bread, and fry bread for today. I made homemade bean soup last night and we have a half of a pot left so they asked for fry bread to go with it.
I also was informed that a friend of mine's mother passed away yesterday afternoon. Since she is Omaha the blizzard is only holding up home visitation of the body otherwise everything is on track. I won't be able to go to the funeral but I will be able to go to the 3 days of the viewing when I get home from work. So please keep my friend and her family in their prayers, it was quite the shock to find out yesterday about her mother. I guess she has been sick for sometime.
That is about it for now.
I am so excited... excited that it is over and excited that I did so well. My committee liked my proposal and the results that I have gotten thus far. In fact, I think it helped that my data was not complete. The few slides labeled "in progress" made the project real and made it feel like I knew where the project was going.
