Where is my motorcycle!::::
:

Ok so I am crying, but I know the tears will pass and hopefully my tears will not flood my laptop or this post.

I have wanted a motorcycle since I was 21, but my parents constantly asked me to let my desire for the bike go and I did. Well at least I tried to forget about it, but the bike kept calling my name. Slowly but surely I started saving and was planning on finally getting my dream bike a 2007 kwasaki by the end of last month...Ha nope, wouldn't be able to make the purchase because the money was needed to pay unexpected bills. I kept telling myself where there is a will there is a way, and if I was meant to have it the bike would be mine.

Fast forward to last friday and my dreams are answered in the form of a small white envelope. I came home to a credit card offer that would cover a down payment for my bike as well as other necessities to begin ridding. Believe it or not as much as I wanted to run and make the purchase my hands would not make the call to accept the card. While the credit card would have been great my credit is not the best so I declined. Later that night I took another look at the offer and called in my acceptance.
Fast forward to sunday and I begin to hear my brakes squeaking, great her gos the other shoe dropping. (why  me...WHYYYYYYYYYYYY)
Fast forward to this morning (yes i know fast forward is overused..but hey so is the other shoe!...lol)
Anyway the mechanic calls me and drops the bomb.

Good morning CJ, its Mike.
Hi Mike.
Sorry did I wake you?
Yep, but I was waiting for your call anyway.
Ouch, well sorry to have to do this , but I have bad news.
Tears start coming toward my eyelids as I bite down on my pillow.
Ok...How bad is it
Well it is going to be $625.00
I didn't hear anything after that....the damn broke and the tears fell.
I called mommy ( yes that is what I call her as I will always be her child and she is the only one I can  cry to w/out being seen as a baby)
Mom says well there go's your bike..aren't  you glad you did not get it?

As much as I want to continue crying and feeling bad for myself I can't. Everything works out the way it is meant to be. I still want my bike (candy red to match the mustang ) but I have to look at the blessing of having one of the cars of my dream as well as being able to pay the bill after receiving the card less than 3 days of getting approved.

thank you!
thank you !

Get Going With Gratitude!

The garden has been sleeping well under a thickening blanket of snow. The ground is now frozen and even the squirrels are hibernating! The weather network suggests we'll have rain for Christmas and things will warm up a bit, though not enough to melt any snow - well we'll see.

Do You believe in coincidence? That things just happen the way they happen, without any connection or rhyme or reason? Or could it be possible that instead we are all uniquely and wonderfully connected within the big framework of the universe and our desires and wishes and wonderings help us to "connect" with each other in interesting, even entertaining, ways?

Last Friday I signed up with a group - under an experiment of sorts; to assist in creating a wave of gratitude around the globe. No fee. Nothing special to do; simply to remind yourself to be grateful each day, assisted by a daily e-mail message sent over a 42 day period. The experiment includes attempting to bring 1 million people into the experience, with the hope more will wish to share the same with friends and family.

Funny thing is, often when participating in such things, unusual things occur... Is it coincidence or synchronicity? I went to visit a friend yesterday who is facing some tough challenges and is moving in the new year. We all know how moving can create opportunities for much stress.... Emotions tend to run high, all sorts of things seem to come to the surface and patience runs at an all time low. For this friend though - the move will be a positive thing - once complete - a new start and an ability to maintain the space on his own will be his finest gifts... and yet pressures and day to day drama can often blur the vision of a happy situation with much negativity.

Noting this tension surrounding my friend I decided to share with him a bit of information about Go Gratitude and the experiment they proposed. One of his current room mates piped up he'd just been reading one of Osho's books, and just that day he had finished a section that talked about gratitude. Suggesting that to be grateful of what the cosmos brings your way is to be aware of the support the cosmos provides and is the key to happiness and satisfaction in one's life. Osho even suggested that if one were to pratice "religion" their religousity should be the practice of being grateful, on a daily basis, to "walk" through life in gratitude...

Hm-m-m-m ; coincidence or confirmation that maybe I've come across information that my very own spirit desperately wants me to know? I believe our spirit, our subconscious and through it, our Higher Self, or Inner Elder (see older post "Your Inner Elder") are leading us, through all sorts of interesting nudges and hunches to hear our own inner wisdom. The answers to all of our questions lie within; if we only take the time to look, or quiet the mind long enough to listen... To notice the cosmos playfully leaves hints and symbols and obstacles in our way to help guide us just to where it is we want to go...! But how can that be?

I don't really know the answers myself! I will admit that. Sometimes I have trouble finding words to describe how I see some things "work" in our lives. I do know that the experiments I have tried myself do point to something seemingly "magical" happening - and I only describe it as magical because I've yet to have any other words that describe it better. I have a hunch there is nothing magical about it at all - simply - that this is something very natural to the human experience we have just not noticed it happening! It's a natural, innate ability and it has been buried by a life cluttered with activities, beliefs, goals and ideals at cross purposes to our own health and well being!

Life can be simple and move smoothly if we can work with the opportunities that unfold before us. Approaching life's opportunities with "issues" are the actions which sabotage our very best intentions! (By issues I mean limiting beliefs and ideas) I will work on trying to give some tangible examples of this so you might appreciate what I'm eluding to and I'll try to keep them light - but understand the consequences of our actions are often not pretty.

Sometimes humans get themselves "stuck" in a rut with beliefs and ideas that limit. We can become rigid with our ideas and that rigidity can be our undoing. If we had rigidly believed that electricity was "evil" we'd still be living in the dark ages...literally! If it were true that humans were never meant to fly - we'd never be able to explore Mars, our galaxy and beyond! If the world were really flat then it would be a much smaller and more crowded place. There may come a day when we laugh at the theories of Darwin and Einstein and Tesla - when our world has progressed far enough to have unlocked more mysteries and illuminated those things we didn't know, didn't realize, hadn't yet even imagined could be true!

Look through history - this has been a natural pattern in the human experience. It's not that someone tripped over a new idea or theory so much as they were willing to stretch themselves beyond the "comfort zone"; to believe something that might be true and they were inspired and interested or curious enough to explore it.

That is why teaching people to use their imagination is so important to our future. People who can be imaginative are people who are better prepared for any situation - be it good or bad. They are better prepared simply because there are few limitations in their minds to stop them from coming up with solutions to problems. People who are imaginative can better deal with change and are less likely to become despondant and depressed when faced with challenges and obstacles. People who encourage and foster their own creative energies are blessed and they are the artists , the thinkers and the creators in our world. They make the world an alive and interactive place. They pull energy from the cosmos and harness it under the guidance of their own creativity and inspiration! This is powerful energy and it is available to each one of us. It's like a practical form of magic if we go back to that theory...

I am so grateful that I can even comprehend the extent to which this powerful idea can lead me. I hope to share that somehow... As I progress there will be more to tell; I am certain there!

If you'd like to participate in an experiment that could have profound effects on how you view your world please explore the following link and if it piques your interest please feel free to sign up. Helping achieve the goal of one million participants is only one small aspect of this beautiful experiment...  Spreading a sensation of gratitude, rippling across our globe and the consequenses such a beautiful act can create is a powerful and empowering vision. The very act of sharing such a thing with others is a gift of priceless value!

Operating from the balanced position of being grateful provides incredible strength and grace in all things. Remember the movie "Pass It Forward"?

This experiment works from the same premise - pass it on.

Do you know that a "gratitude attitude" is the key to your success and happiness in life? (Oprah believes in gratitude!)

Through this simple experiment you can pass that information on to others and share what you know to be true for yourself if you so wish!

I've only been involved with the experiment a few days and already the results are quite surprising! I only wish the same is true for all who participate or who simply begin to see the power of their own gratitude!

The above link will introduce you to the concept. If you're interested in participating simply sign up through the site. And if the information seemed intriquing and interesting at all, please do be sure to pass it forward that others might also benefit!
