Park City @ MindSay
Ok me and the oldest kidlet is back from our two hour walk.Im exsausted and still feeling cruddy,But coupled with sunshine and a good walk , with lots of photographs being taken. It was well worth it.:)
Here in K-town we have whats called the Worlds Fair Park with the Sunsphere.
I have taken many pictures of it. But finally got to go up in it today and take pictures from way up and this is only on the 4th floor , thats the public observation inside deck. This is where I took a few pictures to show how high up we were.
The other 4 floors are for businesses and a bar :)
Later we decided to walk in to the city, It's well worth the walk.I have found a hidden starbucks down from the library ^_^ *score for me *
and 2 coffee shops and a bistro and a mom and pop resturant for me and curtis to try when i get him out to walk one day :)
we heard a lovely lady playing a irsih jig on her violin while walking around this small park and saw lots of colorful clothing and people. Granted its nothing like New York City *which I love * ^_^
and which has it own fun flavor and so much to see and do .
But here in K-town its a way smaller city but very unique in its own way :)
Plus i just like taking pictures of the building and the angles of city.
But we are back ,Im tired but now making a shrimp primavera for us
and a coffee for me and I think I'll call it a day ..:)
Enjoy the few pictures that I put up...
Last picture is a picture of me and my kidlet in the glass reflection.
^_^
Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone! I'm 1/4 Irish, so I can only drink 1/4 as much whisky as a 100% Irish person :).
But I love St. Patrick's Day because at midnight I get to celebrate my birthday! This year it is the big 3-0! My birthday is really on the 18th, but I like to celebrate it the night before, because everyone is usually hung-over on the 18th.
Today was a GREAT skiing day. We slept in 'till about 10:30, and then we went to breakfast on Main St. I had a bagel & lox - yummy! Then we went skiing at Deer Valley, my favorite ski resort.
It was so warm today,as the temperature was in the low 70s! I wore a short-sleeved t-shirt skiing, as did Carl and Mike, but Mike also wore shorts. He looked pretty goofy in his shorts and shirt with his ski goggles. I've got pictures as proof, which I'll post later on.
We went skiing for a couple of hours and then took a break at the restaurant at Silver Lake Lodge. We sat on the porch, enjoying the sun and blue sky while having a light lunch and some drinks. Mike had a "No you Don't! Margarita", Carl had a Blueberry Mojito, and I had a Hefeweisen beer with a lemon. Ha ha, I'm the one ordering the beer, while the guys had the frou-frou drinks.
We enjoyed our lunch and then hit the slopes again. Carl did really well today seeing as how he has only been skiing one other time in his life. Us Hawai'i kids don't really get to hit the slopes that often in our younger years! Mike took the lead and took us down some blue runs, which was fine for me, but Carl had to slide down some hills on his butt. He was a trooper though and we all had a lot of fun and some really great tans!
Now we are at home getting ready to go out for St. Patrick's Day. Carl has some friends that live here, so we are going to be getting a "local's perspective" and hopefully be taken to all the local haunts.
Happy St. Patrick's Day Everyone!!!
