Ozzfest @ MindSay

i got bad sunburn at ozzfest, 2nd degree on my shoulders. but it was so worth it.

As some of you may know, I wanted to go to Ozzfest really fucking bad this year. And it's today. And I couldn't go because I had no one to go with, and even if I could drive, I'm not sure that I would go by myself. So what do i find out just now? THIS LOSER THAT'S BEEN HITTING ON ME SENDS ME A MESSAGE TELLING ME THAT HE HAD TWO TICKETS TO OZZFEST THIS YEAR AND HE GAVE THEM AWAY!!!!!! UGH!!!! and he got them FOR FREE!!! SO I WOULDN'T HAVE HAD TO PAY HIM ANYTHING!!!! except a lay probably- yuck. I don't even know this guy. seriously. Everytime I tried to get him to talk about something else and, oh, I don't know, get to know him or have him get to know me first he'd always bring it back to me and sex, and the one time I could get anything out of him he said he likes the movie Eurotrip and he listens to- get this- hip hop and r&b. HOW THE FUCK WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW HE'D HAVE TICKETS???!!!! And he's like, "You should have told me." UGH! I KNEW I SHOULD HAVE BLOCKED HIM ALREADY!!! chances are his dumbass is lying to me anyway. its not that I think i'm all that cuz I know i'm not, but this guy has been really persistant. Too persistant. like, get the fucking message already, i'm not interested in you and don't even fucking know you. how come only like two guys in this world understand "i want to get to know you first"? AND I HAVE A BUG BITE ON THE LEFT SIDE OF MY RIGHT INDEX FINGURE RIGHT ABOVE MY SECOND KNUCKLE! AAHHH!!! damn!

 

ok, i feel all better now that I've gotten that out. :D I'm off to apply for a job at Quiznos AGAIN (they lost my application) and then I'm off to the bank to deposit stuff. Like you all care, haha. hope you're all doing well! :)

GAH!!! I'm so frustrated!!!! I really wanna go to Ozzfest this year, even more than I did the past two years. Just the line up for me main stage makes my mouth and eyes water, but there's two problems: 1) My mom wants to do a family vacation thing that may overlap with the Ozzfest dates in our area, and 2) If i can go, i have to go with her, and i really don't want to. It's a lot more violent and there's a lot more drugs that I'm gonna really wanna do, which obviously means she can't be around, but I have no one else to go with and I know for a fact i'm not gonna be able to go by myself. This isn't fucking fair!!! omg, Lacuna Coil, System of a Down, Disturbed- OMG!!!! i told my mom that i might have to visit someone in another part of the country this summer so i can go. I haven't been to a concert in so long, and I think that might be one reason why i've been so depressed. I don't get the group catharsis from screaming the lyrics to songs about being abused by parents, significant others, government, and peers with people who can relate just like me, I don't get the agression out by slamming into people that are hurting inside as bad as i am. I WANNA FUCKING GO TO OZZFEST!!!!

 

oh yeah, and i forgot to mention: THE FIRST DATE ON THE TOUR IS THE ONE IN MY AREA AND IT'S ONE OF ONLY SIX THAT OZZY OSBOURNE IS PERFORMING ON!!!! I WANNA GO!!! AH!! (and it's actually in Mountain View, not San Fransisco. I think only one show I saw there ever got it right.)

Ive finally convinced my mom to let me re-join Netflix, kickass.

The 40 Year-Old Virgin is more or less the funniest movie youll see this year...so far.

Im still super fucking pissed about Ozfest (is it two zs or one? Yeah, you're right, who gives a shit).

Orange Juice is fucking fantastic.

Strapping Young Lad is the heaviest band you'll hear on the market today, bar none.

Tommy Lee seems like a cool guy.

WTF happend to Lindsay Lohan, she looks like shit.

Courtney Love, at this point, should just OD and do the world a favor.

Rescue Me is still continually interesting, and all together insane. Great Show.

I cant wait till Nip/Tuck comes back on the 20th, looks excellent, very
worthy of taking Rescue Me's spot while its gone (it did come first
after all).

I dunno when school starts although ive heard it starts on the first of
Septemeber, and I tell those people ive heard it from to shut the fuck
up.

Im going to the state fair tomorrow, gonna eat myself silly.

I still have alot of DVDs I need to buy, at the moment I sit at 332.

How is it that Justin Timberlake gets to fuck Britney Spears and Cameron Diaz?

The Dukes Of Hazzard movie was fucking weak.

I almost feel sorry for Ashley Simpson....almost, its much more fun to watch her crash and burn.

Conan O'brien is the shit, but he needs to come back and do some new shows man (he's been in re-runs all week so far this week).

FUCK MTV.

Iron Maiden and Black Sabbath were my top favorites
Rob Zombie and Mastodon didnt fall far behind


me
and alex left around maybe 7, and got there at 9:30. We missed the
first two bands, but they were nothing special in my opinion. We got so
much free shit. I got to see In Flames, The Haunted, Shadows Fall, Killswitch Engage, and Soilwork, and got them to sign posters for me, and also my one shirt. I also got shotglasses for each one of the bands, a The Devils Rejects poster, a jagermeister keychain, tons of stickers, a Alfred University T-shirt, a Bandana, and alot of other crap. When I took my shirt off, i was stupid enough to not put it back on untill the sun went down, so i look like a friggen lobster. We also saw Stan and Iron Core, and Indirect threat. They had a drum contest to see who could score the highest beats per 60 seconds with a dual bass pedal. I got 377. Evan from Indirect Threat won it believe it or not with a 450.

Not only did i get all those signed posters, but
I got to hang out with Mastodon behind the signing booth, along with
some other cool fellas. I bought another Leviathan CD so they could
sign it, so now i got two =S. At least this one has the videos for
blood and thunder and iron tusks on it.
Anyhow, there live show is
amazing. Next to Rob Zombie, they easily rialed up the crowd the most
out of all the second stage bands. Thats pretty odd to, since they
upstaged Killswitch Engaged. They switched from song to song literatly
perfectly, without a second between, minus the times Troy decided to
pump up the crowd. Brann is even more fucking amazing live. I'm deffinatly gunna start catching all there shows

On
to Rob Zombie! He finished off the second stage, and did so perfectly.
He really knew how to work the crowd. For the entire day, before his
preformance, he literatly sat behind a fence out of sight and eves
dropped on peoples conversations, so he could use them for stage
material. He also threw out some beach balls, and they played some
short covers like hot for teacher and sweet home alabama. The only sad
thing was he was able to use the full stage setup like he does in his
own shows, because we was pressed for a short setup time and he had to
cram everything into the second stage.

on to the main stage
which happened to be entirely drunk

in
flames really got fucked over. they got to play, after zombie stopped,
maybe only 30 minutes. But they managed to fit in what they had, so
they did alright

Black Label Society did there job well.

Shadows fall was good. They certainly dont need to lessons to know how to rock

Mudvayne did really well, preformance wise. And I dont even really like em

Iron Maiden! Was so! Fucking awesome!
They
were so god damn theatrical about everything. They had a bunch of
artwork dropbacks from there original albums. During the trooper,
Dickinson came out dressed as a redcoat, waving the union jack. You
would have never thought a group of arrogant americans would be so
amuzed to see the british flag. They also had a 15 foot animatronic
eddie march out on stage, and the guitarist battled him. Why.... im not
exactly sure. But i have never seen a crowd so worked up in my life. It
was pure electricity

Black Sabbath ended the night with
extremely well planned out lighting, and some of the best guitar solos
my ears have ever laid upon. Their preformance was just soothingly
beautiful, in a sick twisted way. So much so, that anybody can enjoy a
black sabbath show. The whole thing ended maybe around 11:30

By
the end of the day my whole body was sore from literatly standing all
day, and moshing the fuck out of myself during mastodon. I am also
sunburned like a mofo.
the drive home was pain stakinly long. I collapsed in a convenient store
