Owwie @ MindSay
It's been quite a long day. We had an exersion for Modern History today, so we were at Sydney University all day. We attended four lectures, took heaps of notes, nearly fell asleep in one of them, and...well...got wet, to say the very least.
My hand kills...seventeen whole pages of notes I took today. I don't think I've ever written so much in a day, and I'm a writer!! Shocking...and it started raining as we were leaving, so three of my classmates and I run straight through the rain to get to the main building. Most of the class were able to get under umberrellas, but we didn't. So we ran instead. It was fun, but we'll probably get sick soon...
Speaking of writing, though, I have a new work in progress. It started off as just a name, because I've had writer's block (serious writer's block, I couldn't even force myself to write anything) for just over two weeks. So the name was constantly bugging me. Then sitting at school one day with nothing to do, something came to me. A little scene. And now I have a story called Masquerade in the works. Here's what I wrote when I was bored at school - the little scene that managed to break my block. Let's hope I can actually continue with this one.
I felt the breeze blow against me and felt quite at peace. The water raged fiercely beneath me, the thunderous sound more comforting to me than anything else at that precise moment in time. My hands held loosely to the railings of the old rusting bridge behind me, slipping slowly.
"Haylie!"
I slowly turned my head and looked around for the source of the voice that had called my name. Consdering that there was now only one other person on the bridge besides myself, it was quite easy to locate.
"Lee," I acknowledged quietly. "What are you doing here?"
"I came to stop you," he said breathlessly. He'd obviously been running. "You're making a mistake..."
"Oh, am I?" I asked, letting my anger get the better of me. "Funny that. It seems that I can't get anything right in life and now you're telling me the same of my death! Is there anything that I can do right?!"
"Please, you've got to listen to me!"
"NO!"
I was breathing heavily now, though it was barely audible over the howling of the wind and its duet with the pounding water below.
"Not this time," I stated quietly.
With a few quick moves I had turned back to the raging river, let go of the bridge, and allowed myself to fall forward.
Yes...there's a little more after it, but it starts off a brand new chapter. So this...is all that I intend to show you at the current time. I'll update y'all if I ever get around to doing anything for it.

So Cal was racing (with me, Angel, and Kevin in the car) with this other Mustang, supercharged and all, and Cal won out in the end, but in catching back up to the Mustang after a stoplight Cal broke 90mph, and all of a sudden we hear the roaring of a police siren and see the spotlight around us.
Cal obediantly pulls over to the side, slowly but surely, then puts it in gear and turns the car off.
"GET OUT OF THE CAR! GET OUT OF THE CAR NOW!" The cop screams at Cal. The cop opens the door and grabs Cal's arm. "Hands on the car! Now! Spread 'em!"
Cal does as the cop asks, and the cop frisks him lightly. "You're under arrest for willful reckless driving." The cop says as he slaps the cuffs on my fiance, leading him to the cop car.
I look at Angel, then at Kevin. "Oh my god." Angel says in awe.
My eyes teared up as what happened settled in, my fiance was going to prison. "Oh it's okay," Angel coos. "It's okay."
I turned off the NOS switch at Kevin's request and waited for whatever was going to happen next. The cop walks up to the car a few minutes later, with the door still open, he peers in with his baton flashlight, "Now who all's in here?" He said, looking at each of our faces. "This car is going to be towed, so you want to find a ride home."
I bit my lip, still watching the cop examine the interior of the car. "Now can you get the registration for me?"
I nod, and reach into the glove box, searching for the pink slip, and upon finding it gave it to him. But unfortunately in his searching of the car, the cop found the ticket that Cal got YESTERDAY for another reckless driving thing.
The cop leaves, not coming back, but luckily, Cal was sitting in the front seat of the cop car, meaning that he wasn't in TOO much trouble, but he was in cuffs, nonetheless.
Then we call people to get rides, and Kevin gets ahold of Josh while Angel gets Ryan (Ryan was with us on the bike, but he took a different route to get to the place we were going, and he was speeding to get there also). And very unfortunately, when Ryan arrived on the scene, he was almost arrested too, because a cop saw him speeding just a minute ago, but was unable to catch up.
Luckily, the cop let Cal go, but he is still technically under arrest or something like that, they didn't take his license (yet) and they both have court dates and Cal's car is now at the impound lot which we have to go pick up tomorrow morning at 7:30, because otherwise it'll be totally stripped, so I'm going to sleep right around now.
Needless to say, they are both now very...very fucked.
