I had originally started writing this as a timeline, but it was taking too long. So I'm starting again.
Next week, I'm going to get a couple of things out of the way, which are the following:
1 - Record a Rough Demo version of
Flames.
2 - Start messing about with FL Studio a little, and hopefully start pre-production on
The First Shot Always Hurts The Most.
Now, I feel the need to explain point 2 a little more.
I know I said I was going to use real instrumentation for the next album. I was going to use guitar and keyboards. Yes, I remember that. However, I'm not good enough yet. So here's the plan:
Using FL Studio, I'm going to be able to create my own drum loops, as well as my own bass loops, synth lines, guitar loops, as opposed to having to hunt through thousands of useless ones to find
THE one that would make the whole song. With this in mind, it's probably going to sound more unique and, hopefully, better.
Last point of note: Vocals.
The First Shot isn't going to be fully vocal anymore. There might be a couple of songs that are, but others might just have a few dotted in here and there, ala
Moby and
BT. But, more on that after next week, once I've seen where I am with everything.
And finally: How much does
B.O.B. by
OutKast rock? Fucking lots, that's how much!
