The Benefits of Organic

Why organic? Well, organic fabric cuts out many harmful chemicals that are used in making fabrics. The biggest organ of the body is the skin. These chemicals negatively affect our skin, the soil, water and air. The soil’s nutrients are depleted by the harsh chemicals, whereas organic soil is working with nature positively helping to the improve the life of that plant. The run from farms that use chemicals travels to streams, rivers and oceans, changing the natural wildlife forever. Chemically treated soil also has shown to use energy to promote growth, organic uses less energy. These chemicals can also affect future generations. Sounds like we have no other choice than to listen to our Earth, wildlife and our bodies. Organic is the way to go.

Chicken Soup for the Hungry Soul
I'm going to try my hand at some homemade chicken noodle soup tonight.  I've got organic chicken, organic chicken broth, and organic carrots, celery, and mushrooms.  The only thing not organic is my egg noodles, but they're no cholesterol, low-fat, low-sodium "No Yolks ."  If this turns out as good as my spaghetti did last week, I'll have another recipe in my repertoire.  I can't wait.
