Optimistic insomnia
The benefits of not sleeping:

1. You get to experience life for twenty-four hours at a time. It's kind of fun. Like being Kiefer Sutherland.

2. There is no need for that "first cup of coffee." You just have some when you want it.

3. You can watch your beard stubble/other stubble grow. It isn't "just there."

4. You have a real bond with the guys at the Walgreen Pharmacy Drive-thru.

5. Reading huge books in a day is not impossible. You're up.

6. There is time to plan out your next day. Which is just this one, extended, anyway.

7. The world is a neat place at three in the morning. More innocent. By six, the ambience is ruined.

8. Daydreaming never turns into nightmares. Unless, maybe, you're Stephen King.

9. You can watch global webcams when it is daylight where they're at, not just where you're at. That's cool.

and

10. You have a great excuse for being loopy for the next week, because you will forever be "catching up on yourself."

It's the end of the world as we know it, and I feel fine.

A little something that someone I respect said the other night. I've been thinking about it and I think it brings a bit of goodness to light.

"I would rather be an optimist and be disappointed than be and pessimist and be disappointed,"

I thought about that for a while.

I'm not really a pessimist or and optimist. I am an extremist. So I will go back and forth but be extremely what I am at whatever time. I don’t know what it depends on. I guess mostly weather or not I think everything is going to work out. But then I heard this. I thought about this.

Let’s face it, no matter how pessimistic we are, you will still be disappointed when whatever happens. You will still think, “Ah, shit, I knew it.”

The optimist will think, “Oh well, life will go on…Hey is that a puppy?”

Really though, why not try and look at life as if everything is going to go your way and then when it doesn’t, you will still have that puppy. Wouldn’t life be better if we just gave it a chance to be good? If we didn’t spend all our time worried about what was going to happen.

I know that I won’t be able to apply this all aspects of my life. But wouldn’t it be grand if I could just stop worrying about a few things and hope for the best?

“Here we stand or here we fall
History won't care at all
Make the bed light the light
Lady Mercy won't be home tonight yeah

You don't waste no time at all
Don't hear the bell but you answer the call
It comes to you as to us all
We're just waiting
For the hammer to fall”

What is it? Half full, or half empty.
Say you walk into a room and you see a glass cup with liquid inside half of it.   Is it half full, or half empty?  now if the glass should happen to be a glass of jones soda, id consider that glass empty in a few seconds.  But what would you see it as?  I'll tell you what i see it as as soon as i get a few responses.  Also, explain why you see it as such.
