Yea dawggggg
The 10 day forecast is filled with rain.  Today looks to be the last window of opportunity as far as riding the trails go for a while.  I'll be taking full advantage of that today under the watchful eye of Rambo.

Taking the good with the bad
I went down to the trails today to put in some work.  The new line up at the top of the hill is under about 2' of water.  The main (Yuengling) line is not under water but rather muddy.  I raked all the leaves off of everything so hopefully things get dried out today and tomorrow.  They might be ridable on Tuesday or Wednesday again, I've got my fingers crossed on that.

This is the last set in the Yuengling line, I'm not too supersticious but I really like to make it all the way through to hit this set first run.  She's a roaster.  You come down a landing that sits roughly 7' tall to hit this set so you can imagine how much speed is involved.

There's a new video out from the www.pawoods.com guys.  It looks to be another classic.  The dvd is $10 including shipping so you really can't beat that.  The proceeds go to pay for their legal fees associated with getting their trails to be legit.  These guys have leased the land that their trails sit on, and have gotten skatepark insurance for their trails.  I couldn't imagine what a struggle those guys have went through jumping through all those hoops to please the owners of the airport which owns the land that their trails sit on.  I really believe that there should be a law that prevents people from suing property owners if they get hurt doing something which they know they're at risk of getting injured.  There's a few states which already have a law in place like this for ski/snowboard resorts keeping them from having to get insurance.  It really makes sense to me.  I guess congress doesn't see it that way though.

This picture made it into issue # 70 of DIG bmx magazine.  If you're ever in Barnes and Noble you should check it out.

Here's the trailer for the PAwoods 10 year dvd.  Check it.

Pain in the frickin neck, literally.
My neck is killing me today.  I'm thinking I might've pinched a nerve in it yesterday while bailing out the puddle of death.
Hopefully it'll be back to normal asap.

Maybe a cooler full of cold ones is just what the doctor ordered?
Stay right.

Darkside DARKSIDEEEEEEEE...
It's a dark and dreary day out yet again in sunny South Carolina.  The trails have been covered up in hopes of some more fall sessions to come.  Rambo doesn't care for the rain.  Got a little trip with Brad planned for the next couple of days, looking forward to that.

There's been so much pointless drama/beef going on in this town the past few days.  I'm going to have to keep flying under the drama radar and stay out of it.  I never have been able to understand why so many people choose to involve themselves in others' problems for no good reason.  I'm proposing that anyone who enjoys starting drama or being in the middle of it throw themselves under a bulldozer asap.

I'm going to bring my camera along on our little trip and plan on actually using it for once.

I ordered some Extenzzzzzzzz for trail season.  I'm going to feed it some in it's sleep and it'll never be any the wiser from it.  Picture by Rico who can't return anybody's phone calls because he is so damn emo over his chick breaking up with him many moons ago.

I'm a pro at this roadtrip business.  Pro as fuck.  Newports = check.  Busch heavy = check.  Bag of fireworks = check.  Shitty sunglasses that make me look like an asshole = check.

RIP Winthrop fullpipe. Radial-cut plywood pieces glued together was how this was constructed. Da Bear went to 10 o clock on a carve once in this. I thought he was going to launch out the top of it.

I can imagine this was once a thriving local gas station before I-85 was punched through this stretch of upstate SC.

The trails are hopefully going to get some action tomorrow. I've Rambo is happier on days that I spent more time riding than digging. Gotta get on that.
