Last night while driving from the market, (I'm making Greek food tonight!) I saw a flash in the darkness. Only upon replaying the event in my mind, adrenaline pumping throughout my body, I realized what had happened.
The front left light beamed on it. I had almost hit an owl. It was beautiful and HUGE. The wings spanned at least two-thirds the width of the car. The white underside was brilliant and the brown was earthy and heavy. The owl pulled itself up, glided up and over the hood, narrowly missing the windshield, exiting our path to the right.
Chilly, who was in the passenger seat saw nothing.
Anything weird happened today?
A thunderstorm was brewing when I woke up.
The power was out at my work for a while.
The first two pens I attempted to write with didn't work.
And my soda, upon popping open the can was flat.
