Has she wandered?

I know I have, in the time I have known her.

I have wandered down the tempting, torch-lined pathways of my imagination, sparked by ... just her name.  Her gifts.  Her talents.  Both her names, really (for I am privileged to know more than one), can set a mind like mine to follow trails of fascination.

Tiny delights hidden in a landscape.  A creative compilation of visuals oddments that somehow, through her skill, form a delightful whole. 

Yes, she has wandered. She has breathed much of life.  She has taken the time, too, to just sit and enjoy what she has.  She is a woman of depth and insight.

Her name has always fascinated me...and now, it's on my header because I am Nomad's Pet. :)

The rule at what I'll call the Underground MindSay Auction was that the posts we had on Monday counted as our available funds.  And, though I had over 2300 on Monday, I was still outbid.  Twice!

So, though I posted the first bid for MindSay Bride to Be, tattooedjen, I didn't get to keep her.  lauralew did.  And though I bid "a thou" as she and I said, on nomad, I didn't get to keep her, either!  trilliann did!  (Alas, fair Nomad, I did try!)

But!  I did acquire two MindSayers in the First Underground MindSay Auction (again, my title, not the organizers'):  tootboy and msdania! 

Biggest bidding war must have been for josiejunk, but her eventual gavel price was 1,651 -- top price of the Auction!

Now, I have to figure out what to do with my new "pets" as they were called.  Hmmm... Someone suggested making Tootboy wear a non-Mets jersey to a Mets game.  I kind of...like that... Hmmm....  And what about our darling MsD, another MindSay Bride to Be?  Decisions, decisions...

Who bought me?  Nomad! I think she mentioned something about cleaning her website... I better find my broom and feather duster...

Chilly pointed out this month's header has a Christmas in July-feel. I'm alright with that even if it wasn't what I intended. Which begs the question, what did I intend? Simplicity, color, a bright bar/bandana across the top/head to emphasize the width. I like these colors together too. I wanted a ripped transition between the header and the body because it was important to me to have a white background.
