Night Driving @ MindSay

ugh
I was driving home with Lindsay last night, finishing our tie hunting expedition, and she says to me as we're driving along, she says to me she goes she says she goes she goes she says "there's something in the road!"  I hear her say that just in time to notice a dog run into the highway and get obliterated bu the car in front of me.  Horrifying.

It's been a long night

I'm just about out of my head right now...I thought my day was bad untill now.
I absolutely don't know what to do, I got a phone call from Alla's brothers: Adam and Ben
at first I thought they might be joking...they are never serious with me, but then Adam started crying.
They live up a bit past ElK River and at night it gets really, really dark up there. Alla doesn't like driving at night anyway, I can't imagine why she was out. The paramedics told Ben that she had called for an ambulance from her cellphone but she was barely awake enough to tell them where she was, she just said gps. so thats how they found her. I guess on her way home from where ever the hell she had been she swerved on the road, whether from being tired or maybe to miss a deer? but she ended up flipping her car down a steep embankment the medic told ben and adam that it must have rolled at least 3 times? Sadly that happens all the time out there so I can't really get any news pictures to show you guys, like from their town website. Sorry I'm rambling. Anyway she's at Mercy Hospital right now, I'm babysitting and I can't get a hold of my brother and I can't drag my nephew out of bed right now and go. She hasn't batted an eyelash since they got her in there.
Adam called their parents right after he got all the information. I believe they are booking a red eye from where ever they are right now. Their buisness requires that they travel a lot out of the country. I'm still just in shock that she hasn't woken up yet...I have no idea what kind of state shes in, Adam said that from what he knows she broke a few ribs, cracked her sternum, and dislocated her shoulder. She banged her head pretty good too and has some minor scratches from broken glass. That's all I know for the time being, other than she isn't awake and the doctors won't let anyone in to see her. Trust me...if I was there...they'd need to keep surveilance on me because there is no way in hell they could keep me out.
It seems like everytime I stop crying a few moments later I start again, Ben said the car looked like it had gone through a trash compactor...all the windows where busted out, doors missing, it's just so hard to imagine. I'm going to go watch a movie and hope Adam or Ben or anyone for that fact calls cause I could use some one to talk to right now, cause being alone and really upsett is bad, maybe I'll just call Kayla or maybe not, she's got her own shit to deal with, whatever, movie it is.

I beg of you? Just shoot me

ow...my head o.o;

yeah...hangovers just suck...I'm in my 2nd class...and I already want to go home? Even my own typing is driving me insane...no stomach ache...just a head ache? I wasn't even supposed to drink last night...but Celia showed up and played a designated driver...I'm kicking myself right now...and we had nothing for this self inflicted stupidity that I could find this morning...I only got a half hour of sleep too...I got in at 4:30, passed out, got up at 5...some how made it to class...and I kinda want to go home and die for 24 hours...

anyhow...I think I should leave the story of last night in the 'should not be told' story archive...nothing really bad happened...I didn't do anything wrong/illegal etc...just your random stupidity...got to see Kim and Jeff strip dance...if some one hadn't stopped them they where so drunk might have had sex on the damn table...freaks...yet again...Kim issued the offer for me to be her pet...had to turn her down...o.o; I'm remotely only 1 persons pet and I intend to keep it that way...Gabe tried to come in though last night...he was just toasted...had to have Cherish redirect his...*clears throat*...motive...? lmao ok well...I'm going to go...and try to get stuff done...I know Alla is floundering around online some place...she should know Rob was a perfect gentleman last night?......after he got it through his head I'd rather be Kim's pet before he got anything from me...

well off with me then! see ya all later

my dreams..
If my words could be heard, I'de speak of the long nights I sit, awake in my room. Looking dreamily outward of my window, mezmorized by the stinging lights I see.
Memories come flooding back, the good and the bad, the marvolous, majestic, beauitful, and discarseful. The city. The diversity, culutre, the music, style, the attitude, and the personification.
People going there, crowded metros, overflowing corner caffes'.
The strip. Main street.  Studio apartments. One room flats.
The suburbs. Fenced Neighborhoods. Mansions. Country clubs.
It's the city.
It calls to me. I long for it.
Driving down main, with nothing but the freash cold air from the window, half asleep. Taking in the takeout, perfume, smog, and cigarete smell. The night life.
Concerts, poetry slams, coffee house open mic night.
The memories flash. New as yesterday. Tattered, yes, and torn, maybe. But never faded.
Dipicting people, places, style, and scenes in my mind.
Like an old projector, lighting up empty space, on an old sheet, on a distorted wall.
The images covers up the blood stains on that once white sheet. The blood covers up the distorted markings on the wall. The marking cover up me. My secrets. My hopes, dreams, fantasies, passions, fears, phobias, loves, loses, hate, gains, my endless list of me.
But I ask the question that brings me back to reality, "What is me? Who am I? Who is this person in the mirror?"
I don't know. Will I ever? Then I am taken aback once renowned again, "What is reality? What is fantasy? Where do you draw the line?"
I don't know. Will I ever?
I don't know the defintion of either or all, but I feel the meanings in the city, driving down main, with nothing but the freash, cold air from the
window, half asleep. Taking in the takeout, perfume, smog, and cigarete
smell. The night life. In the one place I feel alive.
Sitting next to you.

I've Become One of *Those* drivers!

You know, the ones who can't/won't drive at night. Ever since I hit that deer I have been a little scared to drive that road at night. I seem to have no problem driving around our little town at night. It's pretty well lit. However, driving route 126, where I hit that deer, is another story. The lines have just about disappeared either because the are covered by road salt, or the road salt has eaten away the paint. Every shadow I see move becomes something that is about to jump out in front of me. It reminds of the movie "Black Dog". Truckers who were driving too many hours would start seeing things jump out in front of them and it would cause them accidents. Between here and Watertown I only have to drive route 126 for about 15 miles, and most of the road is 55 mph with parts being 30 and 45 mph. I drive an average of 40 mph on this road now, pissing off all drivers who happen to end up behind me. These idiots will pass when the road is icy and/or wet. They don't care. They only care about driving faster and getting out from behind me. I haven't had the damage to the van fixed yet, so the misangled head light isn't helping the vision problems. Wearing the glasses I have had since I was 15 might also help me to see better. haha Although I just don't know what it's really going to take to make me feel better about driving that road again.

The reason we went to Watertown last night was to buy wood for a project Dale is making for his sister Amy. It's going to be one of those wooden hair dryer/curling iron holders. Amy's needs to hold a curling iron, hair dryer, and 2 straightening irons. She also wants a box on it to hold the attachments for the straightening iron (which I am sure are what I call crimpers lol). I was going to put a picture on here, but Dale won't let me. He says if I show everyone what it looks like other people will make them that way. He plans to make these to sell one day, probably after he retires from the Army in a couple of years. My husband is quite handy when he actually has the time to make projects. Anyway, we also made the short trip to Watertown to eat dinner out. Mostly Dale only wants to eat at local places which is great to keep the money in our community, but there are only about 5 places here. We ate at Bob Evans last night. Not my choice. I think I would have picked Applebees. Anyway, apparently Bob Evans closes at 9pm, even on a Saturday. We didn't realize this, and we were taking our sweet time eating, and even ordered dessert. For dinner Caitlin ordered a grilled cheese sandwich with broccoli, Matthew had pancakes and sausage, Dale ordered an omelet with breakfast potatoes, and I had bbq chicken. My chicken came with a baked potato and broccoli, but I subbed the broccoli for green beans w/ham. When the plate arrived my green beans had onions, but no ham. That's just gross, and I wouldn't have ordered the green beans had I known they would have onions. For dessert the kids each had a Reese's sundae, Dale had a hot fudge sundae, and I ordered the Hershey's hot fudge cake with a scoop of ice cream. My cake was not hot at all. The menu did say it would be served warm. The fudge topping was cold, straight out of a can, and the cake cold, straight from the fridge. Very disappointing. I ate half the slice of cake, and the ice cream, and gave the rest to Dale. We tipped the waitress well because she was attentive, and said our baby was beautiful. haha However, I don't feel bad that we kept the restaurant open an extra 1/2 hour since the food was not as expected. Last time they burned my breakfast potatoes and bacon. I don't think we'll be going back there.

Well, the baby is awake, and ready for lunch. Plus I can finally finish my painting today. See ya's later. :)
