Nice Car @ MindSay
so yeah after I realized I wasnt going to see my friend I figure I'd hang out with Diana (my best friend) and we have this habit of going to this massive park ar 12am if we're bored. Eh doesnt sound too smart right? Well we thought so too but we had never seen anyone there so we usually shrug it off. Tonight however we saw an Impala (the car, not the animal :-p) parked in the park. It looked like it could be an unmarked cop car or just two lovers having a romp in the backseat (like seriously who goes to a park at night unless you're going to fuck with the exception being me) but we didnt stay to stare. Usually we swing on the swings and just talk about whatever. Lately the conversation have been about relationships in general which is cool because I never felt comfortable talking to her about that kind of stuff. The swings were wet so we just sat on a bench. Meanwhile after about 15 minutes of talking, we see the car drive by us and then park. I start mildly freaking out telling Diana that we should get the fuck out of there but not run since it might be a cop. I start power walking to the car while Diana kept fumbling to get her phone out of the sand (she threw it there because I made fun of her) thank goodnes Diana has a nice much newer and bigger car than me because her lights flashed on and illuminated the impala that we thought had left. I leaped into Diana's car naturally out of sheer terror. We then see two "gang banger" looking guys get back in the car in quite a rush, and we hadnt even known they hadnt left or were around us. Diana starts the car and then the impala left the park going about 60 miles an hour and just raced the hell out of there. I don't know what they wanted or what they were going to do but needless to say I wont be going to the park at night ever again >_<
At this time it's about 12ish am and Diana and I were really shaken by what happened. I didnt want to go back to her place so we went to the movies and watched Ocean's 13 ^_^ it was awesome!
anyhoo I'm probablly boring you to tears. have a good day everyone!

I got to test drive a brand new Mercedes CLS 500 today. That was some kind of car! Very, very, nice. I guess for $60-70,000.00 it ought to be nice.
But I had to do some comparisons when I got into my car to drive home. The feel when you sit in the seat is the same. The sound when you open and close the door is the same. The steering was the same. The "tightness" of the leather was the same. The engine noise was the same. The big difference was the this had wooden accents in the interior and mine does not. I will keep my car, thank you.
You know what makes me sad? That I'll never be the best at anything (except for loving you). No, really. Sure, I'm good at some things and hell I can do a tripod for what seems like ever but there's little hope for me being the best at something. Maybe I shouldn't have opened with that that makes me sad cause it doesn't it's just something I think about every once in a while. Namely every wednesday morning at about 10:05. This is when I walk into my guitar lesson, get my shit all set up and begin to rock with my teacher. He very shortly thereafter makes me remember just how not good I am at the instrument. You'd think someone with such long fingers might have developed some semblance of skill over the last 9 years. Maybe I should have stuck with the saxophone. And there you have it, I play the guitar. Now you online people know something else about me.
As of right here I'm gonna start a little segment of Joe's blog called "Adventures In The Life of Joe." In this new segment I'm going to disclose my thoughts and feelings on happenings in my life that otherwise you probably wouldn't know about. I hope you enjoy it. (Mario, I know you don't care, but I'll appreciate the reply nonetheless)
Adventures In The Life of Joe
#1: I drove my car into a parked one.
Yup, I'm that guy. I'd like to be able to justify myself somehow in this here little story by saying something like aliens were trying to abduct me or rockets were getting shot at me from a Russian warship and I had to get out of there PRONTO but the fact remains that my car was moving and the other was not, and hadn't been for a long enough time to make me an asshole. Yes, I was leaving the bar at the time of the incident but believe you me the alcohol had little to do with it. You see I was parked precariously between two boats that were propped up on those little boat propper-up things, you know that are about three feet tall and made of pipe, and was paying a little extra attention to where they were and where the front of my car was going to be as I was backing out. I figured the last thing I needed was a 30 foot sailboat on the honda. I got clear of those obstacles and swung around over my right shoulder to look out the back, make sure I wasn't going to hit any people or parked cars. Just when I turned to look over my right shoulder a car which I should've figured was there went by my drivers side door. I didn't see it. And there you have it. I stopped, swore, looked around and would have driven my ass the hell out of there but I was pretty sure the doormen saw the whole thing and were about to call the police. So I got out of the car, got the liscense plate number and went inside to find the owner. "Do you own a green nissan?" I said that about 60 times, then some bitch tore my shirt (that might be Adventures #2) and then I said it a few more times. Would you believe it, I asked everyone in that fucking bar, but nobody owned a green nissan. I thought I was free and clear, hey, I held up my end of the bargain. But then some guy found the person who owned that green nissan, thanks man. Anyway, "so you own a green nissan."
"Yeah" with a sweet little smile on her face. Seriously.
"Liscense plate . . . ."
"Yeah" same smile
"well I ran my car into it in the parking lot"
"oh. . . .well thanks for telling me" I couldn't believe it, she was still smiling.
I should have then asked to be fellated, I figured nothing was out of the realm of possibility, but I didn't and asked her what she wanted to do about it. Turns out she's friends with my cousin Andy, that kind of took the "Joe's gonna try to screw you" feeling out of the situation and smoothed things over for me, which was nice. I gave her my number and hopefully she never calls me. I feel bad though, she was a nice girl. I wish it was the floozy that ripped my shirt, I'd have hit that shit again and drove home smiling.
The End
Mindsay suggested tag the got me: "tall green things." How in the hell?
I spent time with Cilla today. :)
I liked it. I feel a little better. It felt nice to get out of the house and breathe in some fresh air. :)
We walked around the mall and chatted. Went into some stores and didnt buy anything. *for once I wasnt impulse shopping*
Overall pretty good. I finally cleaned out my car. :) I'm proud of myself. I spend the rest of my evening at James' house *cilla bf*. It was nice. Really calm. Something new.
I miss my honey.
I'm working on a project for US for our anniversay. :) Only Cilla knows what it is. I hope he likes it as much as I do.
Well I'm going to try to work out a little and then shower and hit the hay early. I have to be at work fairly early tomorrow. Nite nite my mindsay ppl!
Well all day yesterday I sat around doing nothing, it was depressing so last night I decided that I would go on a bike ride today. I had my mind set on doing the Alpine Loop but as I entered Provo Canyon I changed my mind. It was around 105 degrees and it was taking my energy even though I was drinking plenty of water. So I decided I would settle for Sundance or Aspen Grove. I made it up to Sundance and called it good. In the parking lot up there I saw a Mercedes Benz SL55 AMG with some sort of aftermarket body kit. The car is worth about $130,000 and most of the car including the engine is hand built. I don't know if the modifications were purely aesthetic or if they were functional but they did look nice. I really should bring a camera with me on these bike rides because I looked on the internet for an SL55 AMG with the came kind of body and I couldn't find one. I really wanted to talk to the owner but he/she never showed up so I decided to head back down. On the way down I hit 49.3 mph, not my fastest but a decent speed. I could have gone faster if I was peddling but I just wanted to coast down. Part way down Provo Canyon I came up to a chick on a road bike so I decided to talk to her. She was pretty cool and we talked for a good 10-15 minutes before she turned off the trail. I would have asked for her phone number but she was 24, just a little too old for me. I averaged 15.8 mph, a total distance of 34.4 miles in 2:10:05 (not including the rest at Sundance). I think I need to upgrade my bike computer because I am interested in what kind of altitude +/- I am doing, but those computers are like $50-60. Some day I will do the Alpine Loop, I just need to train harder.
Well there ya have it.
