-- I heard that the new network page is going to be customizable. We'll be able to change the categories so they are more accurate names for the blogs under that category.
My category re-names will be "obligatory linked blogs", "assholes who are my friends", "some people that I don't know in real life", "people I would party with", "guests at my funeral", "persons I would trust with my checkbook" and "communities that reflect well on me; like leaving out the Time Magazine or 'Stephen Hawking's Universe' on the coffee table".
-- Some people are saying there will be color coded frames around avatars showing which blog was updated within the last hour, last day, over a month ago, or not active, as in, the last time they updated was way back when they wrote: "So this is a blog? I'm planning on updating this every day. I hope to track my progress as I write out my novel/script/life story/comic/graphic novel."
This would be an asset to those of us who frequently weed through our Network page, while giving visitors to our Network page a glimpse of our friends' activity.
-- This came to me through the grapevine: Location/age/sex will be displayed close to the blog avatars. Or available when the cursor hovers over the image.
Will more people go anonymous? Or will more people actually use the profile feature?
We'll be allowed to write testimonials for the friends on our Network page, a la Friendster-style.
Beware, oh beware friends of Nomad...
Each avatar on the Network page will hold a product icon- allowing for brand identification per person and to increase revenue for MindSay.
It would be funny to see Chilly's avatar have a Pepsi logo splashed over the image. AllAroundPsycho might get Stayfree feminine napkins, while TattooedJen'll probably get Turtle Wax.
