I would really appreciate your views on this issue. I have been observing males and females and I watched their different moves, their different actions, different way of handling the same situation. I have noticed that when both are upset, women tend to bring emotions into the situation. They will actually lose sleep over something that could be as small as a comment made or a stranger making a passing comment, and most times it probably wasn't about them in the first place. Men would just give someone the finger and after 30 seconds of anger would move on. This isn't true for all men and all women, but the majority of them, yes it is true. As a woman, I can tell you that I have held onto an emotion when it was way pass due, or it wouldn't affect me if I didn't let it. For example, a few drunk men were walking past our apartment and I was outside in the car getting something and one man said to the other, "Get her from behind" I turned around and said F*** You and headed towards the door, the guy turned around and called me a cunt. I realized that this guy wasn't worth getting upset over, and for once in my life I laughed about it and didn't get all upset. I didn't like being called it, but I know the guy doesn't know me,his vocabulary probably doesn't get much bigger than that, and if I asked him to tell me the meaning, he probably wouldn't get it right anyways. I observed a woman making fun of this man calling him a bastard. The man looked at the woman and asked, "Do you even know what a bastard is?" Her reply was, "yeah it's what you are!" The man explained to her in a calm voice that a bastard was a child growing up without a father, he explained that he was having dinner with his father tomorrow, so that couldn't be true. He walked away smiling.
I have noticed that men do not let emotions take over in situations such as these and often times women do. Please tell me what you think. Feedback is a good thing.
