Cry For You
by September
When you get things for free you can't complain, right? Right. So I won't complain about the fact that my free wireless internet connection is now constantly broken.
I also won't complain about my windows 7 installation since I stole it from.. the fail internet. I won't say that it is the least productive windows environment yet. I won't have to take back what I said a few weeks ago: it "looks stable, reliable, useful and pretty; only now have I noticed how tired I was from the old Windows Classic theme"..
Because I really should take all that back. I love my Windows Classic theme: it's fast, simple and usable. I really love the fact that I don't have to install anything on Windows 7 and that it has awesome CPU and power management.. but damn.. it's the simple interface things that I hate.
It seems like Microsoft developers don't use Windows anymore, because if they did, they would find out higher productivity using the keyboard along with the mouse, BUT NO, Windows 7 is highly keyboard-unproductive! GIVE MY KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS BACK! OR I'LL GO NUTS!
Ok. That's a blackmail fail right there. I'm uninstalling Windows 7 after the lunch. COME BACK WINDOWS XP, I FORGIVE YOU!
I hope everyone is doing fine. Have a great weekend. Go party if you can because the world is going to end tomorrow!
(Not really.. but you get the..)
Finally, I know now how to post video to my blog.
Seeing as how YouTube is STILL refusing to allow our film trailer to stay on the site for longer than 5 minutes - due to the music copyright issue - I've decided to post THE WHEELCHAIR instead. :)
Ah, the days of December - when our friendship was only just starting.
Ah, nostalgia.

i can't wait to see the official video for East Jesus Nowhere. THIS is sort of an unofficial video for EJN and i don't think the band had anything to do with it. amazing quality, though, and a good, relevant story that goes well with the song.

Ideas & Accidents
I made a fair bit of progress with this music video script today.
In my beasty gap between my lessons, I went to the LRC and wrote up more of my script, along with noting down all the needed props, locations, make-up and costumes.
I've asked Sarah if we could come in during the half-term break (like she'd offered) to film a bit of it - and she seems okay with it.
It is a bit weird though, I'm seriously planning ahead with it all and Ash doesn't even know about it yet. ...Mmmm, I wonder what her thoughts will be. I suppose we'll find out at the end of the week...
And I had a think about my Addictions themed project for Photography - I made this sexy brainstorm:
(Not that you can read it, it's been re-sized too much. :P)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When I'd finished English, I went to leave via the stairs by the town entrance - but I fell down them.
I was sat there for like five minutes, I'd hurt both of my legs and I couldn't stand up - yet nobody even asked if I was alright - I literally had like 10 people walk by and just LOOK AT ME, as if to say: WHAT DID YOU FALL DOWN THE STAIRS FOR MATE?
After limping to the bus station and getting home - I looked under my jeans and found that my left ankle is seriously swollen, like 3 times its normal size, and I have a beasty 5-inch wide bruise on my right shin. There's no need like.
I tried to cheer myself up by planning out more ideas for the Spieluhr video.
I tried out my idea for The Overseer costume - after finding a pair of PERFECT sunglasses that belong to my daddy. They're exactly how I pictured them. Big, but not huge, dark, but not black. I took a photo:
I think sunglasses suit me like. :P

Blog #2
A day with friends...
On most Saturdays, I meet up with my friends.
I used to meet up with Adam, but he's got his Saturdays taken up now - so now I meet up with Ashleigh and Shelly.
Sometimes we go to Ashleigh's bungalow, sometimes we go to my house. We were at Ashleigh's on Thursday, so today it was my turn to be the host - so it seems.
So I wake up, wash my greasy self - as I couldn't be arsed showering last night. I don't like showers in the morning, I do prefer them on the night - I feel cleaner. Feels like I'm getting my bed dirty if I don't shower before I get in it.
Adam was here on Friday, and we were eating this popcorn that Ashleigh gave me last Saturday. Popcorn isn't something you can eat and not need to hoover the floor afterwards - but I couldn't be arsed with that either, so I just scooped it all up in my hands and disposed of it.
But this popcorn was something you couldn't eat full stop - I remember opening the door to Ashleigh and just seeing POPCORN - with a bit of Ashleigh's hair to the side.
After all, it was a METER OF POPCORN - so it said on the wrapper - thus being only 40cm shorter than Ash herself.
As her mother said when I mentioned this on Thursday:
"Oh, hi popcorn! Oh, you've brought Ashleigh with you too!"
But yes - after the morning rituals, I cleared another two gigs on the Guitar Hero: World Tour bass career. I'm playing through Easy and Medium first - as I need to get those scores saved to my Community scoreboards. I don't like to have all my Hard and Expert scores shining as they do, and having nothing for anything else - so I feel I might as well tick all the boxes.
I don't care, I get money and groupie points. Always good.
So for the first few hours, as you do - we played through some of the band career - Ash on drums (no bass pedal, so we didn't get any cash), Shelly on bass and Dixie wailing away on lead guitar.
We swapped to quickplay after a while - played all my favourite songs, then did a few songs with me on vocals. I can't actually sing, but I can get 5 stars on Medium. :)
- A smiley representation of Ashleigh - if she had a blue mohawk and was a yellow ball with a face.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Then I bunged in Resident Evil 2 - finished off Claire's story.
My word, I was disappointed with the final boss.
I played through most of Leon's story last Saturday night - played it from 10PM till 2AM - Ashleigh and Shelly watching me. (Well, Ashleigh was, Shelly fell asleep for most of it.)
It's so fun playing Resident Evil with either Adam or Ash - they both have a similar sense of humour when it comes to satire.
Examples:
[Larvae are falling from the ceiling]
Adam: "...THE CEILING'S HAVING A SHIT."
[Ada is being attacked by moths and screaming]
Ashleigh: "...WHY DOES IT SOUND PLEASUREABLE?!"
So anyway - usually on Resident Evil, you fight the boss once, then you'll fight it again once it's mutated badly.
In the case of Resident Evil 3: Nemesis - you fight Nemesis himself a million and a half times, but that's just him for you.
For this boss - William Birkin as it were - you only fight him once.
You have a little shoot-up before the typical lab destruction sequence starts - then you have a single fight with him. He doesn't come back through the floor like Tyrant does. He doesn't appear as a hideous mutation like Nemesis does - and he doesn't randomly appear with half of his skin missing like the giant snake did.
The credits came on, I looked to Ashleigh and said: "...WHAT?"
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I made turkey drummers with chips and ravioli for us all to nom upon.
The ultimate in frozen and tinned dining. Wasn't that bad, but, you know.
And I made them both laugh when I put two chips under my lip to look like extended insisor teeth.
To which afterwards I responded with my usual: "...I'M NOT IMMATURE." - whimper.
Ash retorts with her usual sarcastic: "SURE YOU'RE NOT."
It's just something I have to say.
I'm proud of being immature, I think.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I actually gave into Ash's request for board games - and I brought out Hedgehog's Revenge.
NOBODY has heard of this game. I bet I have the only remaining copy of it. :)
Either way, the original rules are shite, so I made up my own, and they work better.
The staple of the game are the dare cards - and some of them are just awesome.
From my previous games with past friends, I remembered what some of the cards were.
I was secretley shuffling them so I wouldn't get the "Kiss the player opposite you" - the player opposite me being Ashleigh.
Though, I did get my favourite card - "Spell supercalafragalisticexpialidocious backwards!"
I had a good go - and I did get it eventually. Shelly was impressed, I just know she was.
And though it wasn't deliberate - Ash ended up getting the cards like "Imitate eating an icecream in a heatwave" - the sad face that accompanied her 'dropping it' was just SO cute.
Oh, and she got the one to imitate a chimpanzee with a banana - and she seemed to get all the tounge twister cards too.
Unlucky me, I got the ones where I have to do ten push-ups and five sit-ups.
Shelly knew I was embarrassed - and didn't really help when she pointed out I was blushing.
Even so, I didn't do bad. Saying that, there aren't many ways to measure victory with my own rules.
Something tells me Ashleigh didn't enjoy the game as much as I did - but... I often feel that way about Ashleigh. She's difficult to cater for.
That's why I'm so pleased with myself when I can actually provide something she actually wants - be it an activity, an edible or a comfort.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And before they left, I had to demonstrate my TIXYLIX BLOOD.
As I mentioned, I'm interested in film-making.
The three of us previously made a music video to King Diamond's song 'The Wheelchair' - actually being so appropriate that Ashleigh actually has one we were able to use. That in itself, the video turned out really well.
For the Media Studies coursework - that Ashleigh is also doing - one option is to make a film trailer - so we're working together, the three of us - along with two others on a horror film based on King Diamond's album: 'Abigail II: The Revenge'. (Which also happens to be my favourite album.)
As thus, I've been finding ways to make lots of fake blood.
One way is by mixing a bit of real fake blood with a bottle of Tixylix.
I then added some blue food colouring to make it darker - put a bit in my mouth when I went upstairs to get Ash's shoes - then dribbled it all over myself when I was back downstairs.
Neither of them would hug me until I changed my shirt. Dixie was sticky. :)
