flashback 1990s
Hi,*sigh*
These were groups that I heard while back in college. Reminded me of many great times:
Grundge, Dance, Swing, "Great Music", Depeched Mode, Duran Duran, and many others.....
This was the scene of the 90s
Well, today I was working on some work, listening to some world music from my hard drive...now while I totally love my music collection on my hard drive, something was lacking...hmmmm.....variety.
I realized I have not only been in a metaphorical fog as of late, but also a music rut.
I logged onto my local radio station which just so happens to be playing all 90s music.
Everything from C&C Music Factory to Melissa Etheridge, Everything but the Girl, PearlJam, Garbage, Smashing Pumpkins and ah...Nirvana and Bush,...wonder if they'll play some STP..I could go for some of them right about now.
OH MY!! K's Choice!!! (totally awesome) Placebo would be a big O lol. he's so hot.
I know many might not know who half these names are, as not too many like what I like lol.
This quarter is coming down to the wire, and nothing like burning the midnite candle and having such inspiration such as these bands to push forth through the muck. :)
plus abit of other things to set my mind straight....as is possible.
Music has a great impact on our lives. We each have a soundtrack. Every song reminds us of a particular moment, feeling or pivotal decision we've made in our lives. Music can be nostalgic, melancholy, downright depressing and angry. All in all, music is an avenue for us to deal with the "bleep" in our lives, because music is so in sync with our lives.
It seems that when something is going on, when I turn on some music, the music is parallel to what I'm thinking or feeling. It is like the music is here to save us, to give us that lift that .....well, no amount of talking to someone or writing a blog, journal or book can do justice to.
Must get back to work..the clock is calling: "toki-meki, toki-meki"
(disclaimer: the material written has not been proofread, edited or anything)
If I did that, there'd be something totally different lol.
"Well I would walk 500 miles, and I would walk 500 more.........la la la"
