Ms @ MindSay
BLAHH! Thats how I feel. How long does one have to have pain for in order for it to be considered chronic.....cause it feels pretty damn chronic to me. Now the pain has moved into my other leg (it used to be only in the left)....now it takes turns and sometimes I feel it in both legs simultaneously. Occasionally it feels as if my leg muscles are all taking turns spasming....THIS SUCKS!!!! Im not really sure what to do anymore and I spend most of my sleeping time tossing and turning and crying. I am going to give accupuncture another week or so to do something and if not I think Im going to go see a neurologist. I really hope its nothing serious but the pain has progressed for the worse despite physical therapy, accupuncture, and a normal MRI of the hip and lower spine. GRRR!!! I wish I was healthy. I miss health. I was trying to stay positive about all this at first but im a worrier by nature and my mind is getting the best of me...the pain is effecting all aspects of my daily life, I cannot enjoy sleep, I cannot enjoy excercise, I cannot enjoy social activities....and Im becoming depressed. I really dont know what to do.
Other than my pain issue. There is not much going on. The new guy is still around but Im not so sure he is that interested. He doesn't make time for me. He is dealing with some personal issues and so I guess forming a new relationship is not at the top of his list. I guess with my issues that Im dealing with, its not at the top of mine either.....but I like him so I was willing to make the effort. Only time will tell.
I hope it is warm this weekend. It will be something to look forward to
This Saturday I start riding again. I also will be checking in the new batch of therapy students. In the morning the alfalfa/molasses smells sweet mixed with the hay smell. During the down time I will ride and excersise my body. Prince, "his highness" is a Russian arab that I ride. Very snobby ex-show horse lol. He has terrorized many a volunteer and chased them out of his area.
He needs an attitude adjustment-----so I get the job. Dressage meets godzilla........tally ho!
HEALTH NEWS
Vitamin D and Multiple Sclerosis
Here’s more good news about vitamin D: researchers at the Harvard School of Public Health have found that the risk of MS is lowest among people whose vitamin D levels are high. While other research has suggested this link, the Harvard study is the first to indicate that increasing vitamin D levels could help prevent MS, a chronic degenerative neurological disease that affects some 350,000 people in the United States and two million worldwide. Working with researchers from the U.S. Army and Navy, the Harvard team analyzed stored serum samples from more than seven million individuals for levels of 25-hydroxyvitamin D. They found that the risk of MS among whites whose vitamin D levels were highest was 62 percent lower than among those whose levels were lowest. No significant associations were found among blacks and Hispanics, perhaps because there were fewer of their serum samples available or because these groups tend to have low vitamin D levels. More study is needed to establish whether increasing vitamin D levels with supplements will reduce the risk of MS. The study was published in the December 20, 2006 issue of the Journal of the American Medical Association.

The EFT system is something that I just learned about and is good for very many problems that people have. It is very simple and easy to use and you can do it to yourself or someone else. I have had a back pain for over three years that I couldn't get rid of by any means that I knew. I was going to a Chiropractor three times a week. Nothing helped. Sometimes I would take four Ibuprofen at a time three times a day and still it would hurt. It hurt just to walk and I would need to get help up if I sat down, etc.
I downloaded the manual from the company for free and started to use it. Even though I didn't understand it completely and was not doing it 100% right, it still helped a lot. When I ordered the DVDs and looked at them, I found where I was not doing it right and changed what I was doing and now I am about 98% pain free. Yeeeaaah!!! What a relief.
It is kind of a cross between acupressure and psychology, near as I can figure. It activates about five different parts of the brain, each one having to do with a certain area or function of the body.
One of my daughters has a child that has ADD/ADHD and has other problems. The EFT system can fix all that and much more, such as phobias, depression, fears, MS, emotional stress, allergies, P.T.S.D., weight loss, bad memories and all kinds of problems. You can download the manual here and also order the DVDs. You need to read the manual before you look at the DVDs, so if you order the DVDs right away you can have the manual read by the time you get them. You also get a copy of the manual with the program. The program is copyrighted but you have their permission to copy as many as 100 copies to give to your family, friends, etc. They also have two advanced programs that cover more problems, etc. If you buy more than one program at the same time you get a 40 percent discount. So, if you buy all three, you get the third one for free, or pretty close to free. With the advanced programs you learn how to use it on animals and how to do it by proxy for someone when you can't touch them or be near them. Pretty neat.
