It's been a little over 4 years now since we've talked.
I've missed you every minute of it.

Forgive me for taking so long, but here it is! The engagment story! Enjoy!!!

Our anniversary is May 2nd and this May was 6 years. Soooooo, ever since the beginning we have celebrated our month anniversaries as well! So June 2nd was 6.1 over 12. So, since I got some gift certificates from the mall close to our houses...Genio and I don't live far from each other. He lives about 1.5kms away...not even! that we would go shopping. And we did. When the mall closed, I asked him if it was okay that I came over to his house. At this point, he was telling me that his stomach was hurting and that felt like he needed to poop and throw up. MEANWHILE THIS IS A LIE! And I know when he is joking about it, and when he is really sick.. because I bought it and thought that he was really sick. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, he says.. I think I need to go home. So my Dad comes to pick us up from the mall, and drives him home. I tell him I will call him when I get home. So, we're on the way home, but my Dad told me that he needed to go to Home Depot to get something. I tagged along. MEANWHILE... the trip to Home Depot was bogus because Genio was not sick... it was a decoy to get Genio to my house with all his family (Mom, Dad, Brother, and two cousins) to my house to surprise me after Genio proposed to me. I, however, have NO idea that is what is going on. So, it's 10pm, and Home Depot is closing. We get home, and as soon as I get home, my Mom tells me there is some sort of important mail for me that I got that's on my bed, and that I have to go and open it. So, thinking that this is totally legit, I go to my room (which is located in the basement) and turn my light on and look on my bed, and see that there is nothing there. Meanwhile in the like 1.5 seconds that it took to realize that, I see Genio sitting in my computer chair. I look at him and say "what are you doing here?"... He has a bouquet of red roses and a card ready for me to read. He said "these are for you, read the card!". I, at this point am already crying, because I was overwhelmed that he was here and there is still anniversary stuff going on, since it was June 2nd. I go on to reading the card, and the first thing on the front of the card says "i want to grow old loving you"... THIS should have been a indicator.. BUT I'm dumb and I had no idea. So, I keep reading, and crying, and it was an amazing card. I kiss him and hug him and thank him a million times. He then, takes his hands and plants they firmly on my waist and forces his eyes into mine and says to me " i want you to know that there are going to be good times and there will be bad times, but i want to spend them all with you". NOPE. STILL NOT GETTING what he's doing. At this point, he gets down on one knee.. and when he did that.. I gave him the dirtiest look ever, like WTF are you doing.. why are you kneeling... And I swear, TOTALLY not getting what he is doing. He reaches into his pocket and take out the ring and says "Dania, will you marry me?"... my mouth DROPS to the floor and I begin to cry so hard. I just was in awe. I had no idea that when I woke up that morning, that this is what was going to happen to me. I was crying for about 2 mins straight. He placed the ring on my finger, it fit great, and looked ever so pretty... and they he goes to me.. because I have still not answered..."so... are you?"... I said "I do.. I mean YES! YES! YES!" So we hugged and kissed and was crying like a a river! He said that we had to go upstairs because everyone was there. My Dad, my Mom, his Mom, his Dad my two sisters and Allie's boyfriend, his brother and his two cousins were there... as you can tell... I WAS A BIT excited. So, after that, hugs and kisses all around and champagne all around! It was amazing. Genio and I have talked about it before, and I mean the ring that was picked was picked with the two of together. So, I knew what it looked like and everything, but I did not know when it would happen. It feels amazing to know that I am engaged to him. I love him with all of my heart. And now, the wedding planning begins. I have been looking forward to doing this for such a long time. I knew that when I saw him, he was the one. I knew it. I felt it... and it was DEFINITELY love at first sight. As for wedding dates, we are looking to September or October of 2009.

And to Genio I say... I love you babe. I love you more than life itself. You are my one, my all. I would be no where if it wern't for you. You are and forever will be my shining star. I am so happy to share our story with the world.
