Mr. Lincoln The Racist
by Al Benson Jr.
It is amazing to see how many blacks today continue to revere the memory of Abraham Lincoln as though he had actually done something for them. Of course many whites do the same thing. In fact, there is an entire cottage industry operating nowadays, consisting of people, many of whom are academics, whose entire goal in life seems to be the attempted beatification of "Saint Abraham." Most of this foolishness is due to the fact that, in our government schools, we have been taught a laughable, shoddy imitation of history. The facts must never be allowed to get in the way of the fantasy.
Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation is a dubious document that has been widely touted as having "freed the slaves." It didn't. It was aimed at the slaves in Confederate territory where Lincoln had no legal authority. Slaves in both states and territory controlled by Mr. Lincoln's dictatorial regime remained firmly in bondage until the 13th Amendment freed them, several months after Mr. Lincoln's demise. Even Lincoln, himself, admitted the proclamation was a war measure and probably would not have passed any sort of constitutional muster. So who did it really free? No one, that's who. It was never intended to "free" anyone. It was excellent propaganda and that was it. Period!
Several years ago, columnist Joseph Sobran wrote: "When Lincoln finally did grab the slavery issue in 1854, he again followed (Henry) Clay in advocating gradual emancipation, combined with a program of colonization--resettling former slaves outside of the United States. He expressly opposed political and social equality for Negroes in this country. They should be equal all right, but not here...Lincoln's segregationist views are soft-peddled, shrugged off, explained away, or simply ignored...the Fantasy Lincoln must be maintained at all costs." And this is exactly what many establishment scholars today do. They maintain the cottage industry that promotes the "Fantasy Lincoln" while conveniently ignoring his racist views--views they seem to find abhorant in anyone else yet perfectly alright in Mr. Lincoln.
So far as Lincoln's overt racism, let us go right to the horse's mouth as it were, and find out what the great emancipator said himself. In the Lincoln-Douglas debates, which took place in 1858, while debating in Ottowa, Illinois on August 21st of that year, Mr. Lincoln stated, quite plainly, that: "I have no disposition to introduce political and social equality between the white and black races. There is a physical difference between the two, which in my judgment will probably forever forbid their living together on terms of respect, social and political equality, and inasmuch as it becomes a necessity that there should be a superiority somewhere, I, as well as Judge Douglas, am in favor of the race to which I belong having the superior position;"
Lest one be tempted to think that this Lincolnian sentiment was a mere abberation, a slip of the tongue on his part, let's note Lincoln's comments in his speech at Charleston, Illinois on September 18, 1858. Here, dealing again with the same question, Lincoln said: "I will say then, that I am not nor have ever been in favor of bringing about in any way, the social and political equality of the white and black races, that I am not, nor have I ever been in favor of making voters of the negroes, or jurors, or qualifying them to hold office, or having them to marry with white people...there must be the position of superior and inferior, that I as much as any other man am in favor of the superior position being assigned to the white man." And he repeated, again, this exact same sentiment in the debate in Quincy, Illinois on October 13th. You do have to admit that Mr. Lincoln's racism did remain constant.
When I read about all the Northern (and some Southern) liberals that so deftly condemn Southern folks for their racism, I often wonder why they seem to forget to condemn Mr. Lincoln for his racism. And why do they conveniently forget to condemn the North for its racist attitudes--because the North had them every bit as much as did the South. Why is Southern "guilt" to be pointed out and exclaimed over while Northern "guilt" for the same "crime" is simply ignored? You don't supposed there is just a teeny bit of anti-Southern bias among the liberals and their court historians do you? Naw--that could never happen--could it???
Professor Thomas DiLorenzo, in his excellent book The Real Lincoln noted that: "The Republican Party, led by Lincoln, was in favor of Southern slavery because its leaders feared the spectacle of emancipated slaves residing in their own Northern states. Lincoln's own state of Illinois had recently amended its constitution to prohibit the emigration of black people into the state, as had several other Northern states. Most Northern states had adopted Black Codes that discriminated in the most inhumane ways against freed blacks. Such discriminatory laws existed in the North decades before they were adopted in the South. There were very few blacks in the North in 1861, and most Northern voters wanted it to remain that way." Black Codes in the North for decades before the South adopted them? Wonder why your "history" book never mentioned that. I never read about that when I went to school. Maybe they sort of forgot to put it in my history book. You say it wasn't in your's either? Oh my!
So most black folks as well as the white liberal race-baiters continue to pay homage to a man that displayed all the habitual racial attitudes they claim to hate in all the rest of us--but, somehow, in the sainted Mr. Lincoln, it's all forgivable. Do you detect, ever so slightly, just a bit of a double standard here?
Okay I have nothing NOTHING to talk about. I just thought I would put a gossipy Subject line up:D
I had Randy blushing over the phone yesterday afternoon. I could see the blush even though he was two hours away:D And no I didn't talk dirty to him........wanted to........but couldn't. He was in the job trailer and one of the owners was there and the temp secratary! I askeded him what he was doing and he said "Eating my Honey buns for lunch!" And me being me.
"Nah aw your not eating my butt checks cause your doing there and I am up here!" He sat there and you could JUST SEE the blush coming over his white white boy complextion! His boss come walking in right when Randy said you did ya know Brian is here? And I heard his boss go: "I don't care if you talk dirty to her! It improves the day!" Randy told him to be quite and that he didn't say shit that I did!
Anyway we went to taekowndo yesterday. We are all signed up for testing this Saturday. We got our detail strip (have to get 3 strips for adults and 4 for kids to even be able to test) and Mr. Johnson was pretty impressed with us missing almost 2 full weeks that we are right on track with where we are suppose to be at and he didn't have to correct anything on my form, DeLaney just needs to slow down a bit, and Coltin needs to work on memorizing his form a bit better and not looking to me all the time!
Then I had an odd thought pop in my head (you can tell I am like REALLY horny if I am having these types of odd thoughts!). Mr. Johnson is not a bad looking man let me tell you. And I know he has at least one young daughter but I have no clue if he is married or not. Simply for the fact I know you can't go off the ring finger. I don't wear a band and either does Randy. And I have NEVER heard him talk about a wife just his daughter. Okay the thought in the middle of taekowndo while I was helping with some of the kids Mr. Johnson was next to me and the first thing that popped in my head was: "I wonder if he requires the person he sleeps with to call him Mr. Johnson when having sex? I call Mr. Jones, AJ. (Who is a good looking guy also) And his wife doesn't seem the type of person to scream out *MR. JONES!* during sex. But Mr. Johnson is the type I think would get off on it! Or better yet! I bet he asks the ladies in his life to scream out *YES MASTER!* You know because he carries the title Master for taekowndo."
The problem wiht these odd thoughts, I have a bad BAD habit of asking the questions out loud! I was biting my lip so hard by the time the class ended I had blood trickling down my chin! Mr. Johnson noticed it and asked me about it! OH MY GODS I almost blurted out the questions! Normally I don't have a problem asking the odd thoughts in my head or the raunchy ones in this case, but not in front of kids! So I lied! I said my knee was hurting me and now I have the poor man worried about me!
And various thoughts like this continued thorugh out the night! At the Chinese reastaruant we stopped for food concerning the lady cooking. I wonder if her hubby gets tired of eating chinese food since she smells like it all the time and in a sense is Chinese! That one was lame but hey I laughed at my own lil ill humoured and lame joke in my head!
Randy really needs to get his ass home Friday!

Rest in Peace. You and my car will be missed dearly. (my car, perhaps a little more since we had more of a history. you were just a celebrity that I admired from afar. an excellent actor albeit, but we never had that connection that a car and its owner develop over miles on the road together. Maybe if you had replied to those letters I faithfully sent you every second Tuesday of the month for 12 years begging you to do a sequel to The Incredible Mr. Limpet, we could have had something beyond a fan/celebrity relationship, but no, you purposely ignored my pleas for you to reprise that brilliant (oscar worthy I might add) performance. You dug your own grave my friend so you can lie in it! But seriously you were great in the Ghost and Mr. Chicken.
Herbie, not so much, but we all pull a boner here and there.
Keep it real. peace out.
Mr. Smiths Class”
Mr. Smith wasn’t his name but since I can’t remember it will do. It was our senior year in high school and Mr. Smith’s class was by far the one I looked forward to the most. He was the most entertaining teacher I ever had in all my 12 years of attending school. This was our senior year which made it all the important to create havoc in the class room. Mr. Smith had it in for him.
Today was like any other day. Mr. Smith was typically late for class and today was no different. The responsible students took to studying their history books while the rest of us goofed off. Another student and myself came up with a way to fuck with Mr. Smith that turned out funnier than it could have been. We stole his desk!
Mr. Smith arrived shortly after the bell went off and was probably not too surprised to find his desk missing given the mischief that usually went on in his class. He refused to begin teaching until his desk was retrieved. It wasn’t like anyone really wanted class to start anyway so it’s not like anyone was volunteering information.
It wasn’t until half way through class that two students volunteered to go find his desk. They left and were gone for quite a while. In the interim class was not about to begin and everyone was enjoying the break from the usual routine.
After a while Mr. Smith became demanding, wanting to know where his desk was at. We must have felt bad for the guy because the class agreed we should return his desk. The other student and I who were to blame for the missing desk agreed to retrieve it and return things to normal.
Class was almost over at this point so it made no sense to begin a lesson but, at least, Mr. Smith had his desk back. Meanwhile the two students who went desk searching earlier were still gone and probably going to be in trouble for skipping class. Fortunately they returned before causing themselves any great trouble but they brought with them an unexpected surprise. Another desk!
