This Is It.
Kendall and I went to see This Is It today. It was intensely moving. This planned tour of MJ's would have been incredible beyond description! Not only would it have been phenomenal entertainment, but as a show, it would have had a really significant MESSAGE behind it too. (If you want to know what the 'message' was, go SEE the movie...I can't deliver that message with the same impact and effectiveness that MJ did...or WOULD have, if he'd had the chance.) He was such an incredibly kind, caring and gentle soul. It was almost as if perhaps, in the last few months of his life, MJ might have finally been beginning to really find himself.

It was also interesting to be reminded that this last tour was not just about MJ. There were HUNDREDS of people behind the production of this tour...costume designers and make up artists, film makers, technicians, dancers, singers, musicians. This tour would have been the opportunity and experience of a lifetime for these folks. They were all so INCREDIBLY talented and had all worked so hard. I'm glad that at least a portion of their hard work will be seen and appreciated by many through the making of this film. The world lost a true treasure when MJ passed away...much more of a treasure I think, than many people realized. This film is soooo worth seeing. It's not the kind of film that will 'blow you away' (like the actual TOUR would have been!). It was obvious to anyone who has ever seen MJ perform live that he was holding back during rehearsals...his performance intensity would have been amped up 10 times that level for the live performances. But it was still a great film to see, and a fitting farewell to a truly precious person. RIP in Michael.

Will Smith is the man.
Will Smith is the man.
I just bought I, Robot and a widescreen version of Independence Day.
After all this silly school stuff is over this semester, Morgan and I need to have a movie marathon involving a whole lot of Will Smith.

Quarantine
Quarantine was a really good horror movie. It was filmed like Cloverfield, but it was kind of more creative. I liked Cloverfield as well.

Eric sent me 20 dollars of regal movie cards, some boxes of movie type candy, and coupons for free donuts. He told me to relax, and that I m studying too much. So I went to see Quarantine with Morgan last night after we did tons of physics homework. Breaks are good.

this day sucks too
Ok I have 2 classes today, but I woke up with such a headache, a continuation from last night no doubt. If I ever had a hangover, I am guessing this is what it feels like. I am going back to sleep and ditch my classes (that 2 hours of commuting is just gonna kill me further) and hopefully it'll begone and I'll read extra and memorize more for next classes. Make up lecture time with study hard time. Life sucks anyways. edit: omg omg, plan fails. There is construction on the balconies and they are jackhammering away, at least it sounds like. Headache intensifying, too rainy for a walk. I'll make myself some turkish coffee once I decide to get out of my pjs and room. And bleh I still have 500$ left to pay for next semester. omg, this is more than 2 weeks of part time work worth. FUCK THIS BLEH. The inglourious basterds movie me and my friend have seen yesterday eve? Mixed feelings all over. To tell the truth I just came because you know me and my war movies... I just wanted really to see the old cars and uniforms and stuff. Modern life is often so minimalist and boring. since it is a tarantino movie I was afraid it'll drag on and on... I find his movies boring, but parts/scenes of the movies awesome. Luckily it didnt drag on and on. And I loved the accents and languages and loved to hate Col. Hans. And the other nazi guy. And I loved that I had no idea whats going to happen next at some parts since I didnt see them coming in the firt place. And oh, the funny was funny. And brad pitt with a mustache and eyebrows and that yankee accent. wtf, if I havent seen it I wouldnt have believed it was possible to pull off.

i know this is old news by now...
...but I just found out that Patrick Swayze died last week and it makes me very sad. I remember seeing "Ghost" as a kid (i was like 4) and for whatever reason I really liked the movie but the demons or whatever that came and took people when they died scared me. Still, it somehow manages to be a fond childhood memory, probably because its one of the few ones that i have. He is another fallen pop-cultural icon that is already missed. R.I.P.

Re: The importance is alphabetical - Ah, ok. I was going to say...lol. Ok, I don't hate Spears as a person.
