Problem ALMOST Solved

I bloody hate Mondays.

There's really no fucking point in going into college for just one sodding lesson.

One sodding HOUR, practically.

But either way.

Ash watched the trailer first draft on Saturday.

Shelly made out that she proper hated it, but she just didn't like the order of the clips.

Sarah watched it today and identified what the problem was - the speed.

It's currently far too slow to be a slasher horror. It's also a bit TOO revealing.

So yes, in this case - less IS more.

I shall be sorting this problem later.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I bought myself an XL bacon double sandwich from Burger King and a pack of Kinder snack bars from B&M - got the 64 home, then sat on the sofa and chilled out, eating my nosh and watching Spongebob.

I got the urge to play Donkey Konga 2.

I finished off the whole of Chimp duet mode - then finished all but one song on Chimp beat-mix.

There's only ONE song I can't get gold DK on. It's PISSING ME OFF.

I returned to Resident Evil shortly after.

I have a save point just outside the first battle with Tyrant. I can't be arsed with him at the moment, he can taste my magnum later.

In other news, I've decided not to waste my life away with Neopets.

I'm not going on it again - to ever accomplish anything on that game, you have to dedicate at least 4 hours a day for two years.

Can't be arsed, to be honest.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Shelly rang me later on. We talked for a few hours, then she got a phone call on the house phone.

Her nana's died - I feel so bad for her. She cried on her phone for about 10 minutes and nearly gave herself a panic attack. I had to calm her down as best as I could, trying to help her relax enough to be able to breathe normally again.

I know how that is. It's not easy being a manic depressive asthmatic. When one cries, one cannot breathe.

So it looks like I'm spending the day with Ash tomorrow.

...Even though I feel really fucking weird towards her at the moment.

She's on MSN, I've let her know about Shelly, and also that there's things I need to talk to her about.

I don't want to upset her though... It's about time she knew the truth about how I feel about her and how her hostility makes me feel...

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And I'm also in a dilemma - do I go to Southend... Do I miss off a few Photography lessons, miss seeing Ash and comforting Shelly, having to lie to Aunty Betty about how my life is going and share a room with my nana... Having to see my nana upset after her sister's funeral and leave grandad here on his own...

Or do I go to Southend to see Aunty Betty and Uncle Roy?

...Jesus Christ, talk about outweighing reasons.

It's Actually Going to be in Theaters!
From Thanksgiving turkeys to jive turkeys.  The husband told me about this movie and I didn't believe it was real.  Black Dynamite staring Michael Jai White is a spoof on the blaxploitation films of the 70's. The movie is due to be released in 2009. The trailer is hilarious!

Where's Waldo!?! THE MOVIE!!!!

I had a blessed childhood, who wants to join me and remembering Where's Waldo books and the tv  cartoon show which probably nobody remembers it! But anyways it's pretty cool movie trailer love it to death. Also if anybody can guess who the third picture they show of toughest people to find. Please tell me what is he from. I know everybody else but that. Oh if you're wondering what's the song they're playing when she's looking out the window I think it's a Moby song but talk about a cool song! HAHA More writing below video!

So what's going on with me lately? Well just been working out and also just got a call form K&G they want to do an interview with me thursday, that's not too far from the house too so hopefully something will work out. Man took them forever probably about a month to call me back sheesh @_@. Also I can now show my resume to them so that can helpo me. Also hardly that far from the comicbook shop and also not far from where I live. Plus it's part time so nothing too heavy and what not. Also I can start fixing my wardrobe, need to update now. That's about it. Probably should call Nintendo to fix my DS before the year warranty runs out. I'm trying to make it to AWA Anime Weekend Atlanta. I haven't gotten my unemployment check yet though it sucks. It's this friday God I wanna go so bad it's only once a year thing! >__<

Who Watches The Watchmen?
Image and video hosting by TinyPic

When it was announced that there would be a movie made of the WATCHMEN graphic novel I had grave misgivings. How could one 2 hour movie contain the vast goodness of Alan Moore's densely complex work? Would this one suffer the same fate as other Moore properties when transitioned to film? I really didn't want another LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENTLEMAN and I doubt anyone else did either. My fears also weren't eased any by 300 director Zack Snyder getting the gig. While I considered 300 to be an awesome movie I readily admit that it was the definition of style over substance. But then I saw the trailer for WATCHMEN and my unease has turned into giddy anticipation. If this film is as entertaining as the trailer promises then I can't wait until March 6, 2009.

A Tale Of Two Trailers

Here we have two very similar trailers for two seemingly similar movies:

PROM NIGHT, the remake of the 1980 Jamie Lee Curtis slasher classic, starts out like a lat 90's-early 00's teen movie with the kids getting for and then going to their prom. Then things take a turn for the macabre when some lunatic starts bumping off the photogenic teen revelers in order to get some alone time with our blonde heroine.

Next up is ALL THE BOYS LOVE MANDY LANE wherein out gaggle of horned up teens throw a weekend kegger at a remote ranch. Things start out like any Freddi Prinze movie from 8 or 9 years ago but then all hell breaks loose and some wackjob starts bumping off the photogenic teen revelers in order to get some alone time with our blonde heroine.

So what we have here is pretty much the same movie, right? Right!

Then why does the trailer for MANDY LANE get me all geeked to see the movie while PROM NIGHT's trailer bores me to tears?

Maybe it's because the MANDY LANE trailer just looks cooler. The film is shot grittier and less polished than PROM NIGHT and the murders have a real Tobe Hooper's TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE feel to them.

But the kicker is probably how the use of the old 1960's song "Sealed With A Kiss" is used to make the proceedings feel so gotdamn creepy.

Of course my anticipation will most likely be rewarded with a movie going experience that is just as shitty as I assume PROM NIGHT will be but dammit I can't help but get excited by that trailer.
