Moulin @ MindSay

Well my beastie of a painting is almost finished--all I have yet to do is to apply a red wash to the lanters, paint the fairy wings, and add the glare and detailing to the wineglass.  Oh, and to spray and sign and spray again.  Not too shabby!  That is a project for tomorrow morning, and at lunch. And briefly after english.  But it shall be done!  I am happy with her.  (I say her because the two major focusses of the painting are women.  There are men in the painting too, however.)  Anyways, I need to sleep.

Today has been a lovely day--a golden day--with lots of memories made that I'll cherish always.

After much poking and prodding, I did start a painting for Moulin Rouge, 14 x 18 inches, to put in the lobby of Magnus.  Now, obviously it's nothing spectacular, and at this point it's far from complete so my attempted vision is obscured, but nonetheless you get the point.    I was having fun with the different levels of focus (the girl on the glass is the green fairy (she's perched on a wine glass-the detail is yet to be added).  She'll be in focus, while the stuff behind the glass is done in short strokes of a broad brush, and the rest is short strokes of a smaller brush.).  It'll get done monday night.  Anyways, just thought I'd share, I'd best get to work!

This so fits.... I love you Sam. This summer has been really hard to handle and thanks to your help and a few close friends ;) *you know who you are* I've made it through. I lost my kittie, whom I've had since I was 5, lost the father I grew up with, lost my old life, I got a new job, a new brother, and a new life all in a period of a couple of months. Thanks for being there for me and bringing me up when I was at my lowest. Even when I tried to hide it, you knew how I felt and tried everything within your power to cheer me up or help me out. You've really come through for me. It's nice to finally know who my true friends are. For once in the past three months, I can truly say I'm happy right now. And hopefully soon, I'll be even more happy :) :).
