Minister @ MindSay

I had rare oppertunity to listen to the radio for a few hours yesterday morning.

Yes, I listen to talk radio, and yes I am considered a conservative.

The topic I was listening to was dealing with a federal court judges ruuling to stop production of lisence plates in South Carolina that have the words "I Believe" across the top a depiction of the Cross in the number feild.

What I understand is that four groups sued to get this injuncion, including two ministers, a Rabbi, and a Hindu. I don't know the exact specifics.

First, not only in my oppinion, but backed up in Scriptures, the two ministers were not at all ministers of God. What they call themselves, what denomination, what they preach from the pulpit probably does not matter. No true Minister of God would ever go to court to stop the Cross of Christ from being offensive. They deny God/Jesus before men... Who will deny them in Heaven? But they will be welcomed with open arms in the world.

The others, who do not claim to share my faith, are not part of this arguement.

I found it most interesting that this injunction would come just before Christmas, the day we celebrate the birth of our Savior.

We have been slowly reading thru a book called 25 days of Christmas, which is simply an outline of Christs birth in Scripture.

When Christ was born, the ruler of the land asked the wise men to let him know when they found him, so that he could go and worship Him. When the wise men did not return, the ruler asked the priests where the new King should be born, and then he went and killed all the babies in that town.

Since Christ came to earth, He has been a threat to all authority on earth. Earthly and fleshy people have tried to wipe His name away from the public eye. Now, some might say that they don't want the lisence plates displayed because some would defame Christ and the Cross with poor driving habbits. While I agree that if you have a bumper sticker that boldly proclaims "I love Jesus" you should be on your best behavior while driving, and when people see you getting in and out of your car, and when you are walking thru a store where someone who say you park your car might be shopping, and in your driveway, because your neighbors might be watching you, and when you have your windows open because your neighbors might be listening... understand? The more bold you are to proclaim your faith the more prepaired you must be to defend it. I want nothing to defame the Name of my Lord. I don't have a bumper sticker on my car. ( I do have a large dove on each side of my work van. )

These men who have denied the Cross of Christ PUBLICLY have joined the side of Ceaser who killed all the boys of Bethlehem. They were wrong for it. And they are not ministers of my God. If they believe at all in the same Jesus I do, they have taken his name in vain... As a married woman who takes the name of her husband and then lives like a harlot.

As a "Breeder" I am in full support of Homosexuals being able to have a legal marriage in our "Free" Country.  The Christians love to say God this and God that says it is a bad and nasty thing.  Guess what folks!  Homosexuals can still have their "marriage" blessed in a Church and by God with out a legal document! Breeders do it all the time if they are against supporting Uncle Sam and the IRS!  It is called having an ordained minister say a prayer or two and a blessing over the union and your done with it! They aren't fighting saying shit about it being a church marriage.   Homosexuals are wanting the protection they have a right to via this country they are citizens in to have a LEGAL and BINDING marriage in the eyes of Uncle Sam and his buddy IRS!  And Conservetives who don't know how to keep State and Church Seperate keep interfering!  My Gods!  Does the gov't and the IRS NOT realize how much more taxes they could collect if they would just legalize Same Sex Marriage?  The Gays and Lesbians can bitch right along with us married breeders about being Middle Class and Broke because Uncle Sam and the IRS have taken all our money and have given it to the folks who are rich and those who make on the lower end of the middle class scale and get Earned Income Credit!  All because we are LEGALLY MARRIED and have kids too boot!

Okay what brought that last little bit on was the fact I had to rub my eyes, do a double take, and then hurry up and look out side for pigs flying!  The state of Iowa, yes, I said IOWA!  The State of Iowa for a short period of time allowed same sex folks to apply and receive marriage licenses this past week or so!  Before they shut down the application line because it is now headed to the Superme Court in Iowa of course to see if it is all legal like!  This is thanks to a lovely couple who attempted to apply for a marriage license and were denied because they were both male.  They sued and they won!  Which managed to get them their marriage license!  Good for them!  And they paid the extra fee to waive the 3 day waiting period so they could be married the same day they received their license and before it was appealed to the IA Supreme Court!  Guess what folks!  These gentlemen are officially married in the State of IA!  Up to a dozen or so gay and lesbian couples managed to get their marriage licenses before the application line was put on hold!  Yay for them!

Now why this suprises me is Iowa is a conservative republic down to the river to be baptised state!  I don't care what religion you are these folks are Jesus FREAKS!  I should know I lived in that screwed up state for 4 years and married a man from that state!  It explains alot about my hubby if you know how Iowa is.  Anyway, it is suprising but it isn't!  Iowa is one of the few states that is known to stand up for Civil Rights.  And we aren't talking about convicts' rights to sue their victims, illegal aliens rights to sue US citizens, or anything stupid like that but actual in your face insulted someone's Civil Rights!  In all the news articles that have been circulating I have only seen 1 person say something negative about the same sex marriage in Iowa!  And that was the Governer!  Guess what he just lost himself a rather large Gay and Lesbian voting populance!  We have Gay Farmers and let me tell you they live in some nice ass homes in the midwest and half the time have more money then us Breeders!:D 

I hope the IA Supereme Court denies the appeal and lets the Same Sex Marriage Stand!  For the simple reason it will open up SD and NE's Gay and Lesbian folks into getting married!  A lot of SD and NE folks get married on the IA side already because they like the area, they need to be in the city to have a reception hall, or they have family!  And guess what!  As of now, I am more than happy to work out a deal for anyone wanting a blessed union of two folks!  Regardless of who what where!  If that law passes fully I can honestly say I will be bombarded with requests!  And I hope my friends Bill and Billy are the first to ask me! 

I love my dad dearly.  But he is the biggest hypicrite since his Gods! 

All of us kids where told we could date anyone we wanted that everyone bleed the same.  And then we got the list of cultures predomintally Island or Asian that he wouldn't see in his house.  I caused a lot of his blonde hair to turn ash blonde early cause I did what I wanted in highschool and owned up to it.  I dated every flavor of guy that was in my area:D  My mom didn't say a word jsut asked me who my new b/f's name was for the week and left it at that.

I went off to college and I was dating a black guy.  Again my mom didn't blink.  I saw nothing wrong with it, he made me happy.  I didn't even have any of the steriotypical problems with my black girl friends that so many white and black ppl speak about.  My dad wans't happy.  He made one comment and it got me riled up and I told him yank me home from college ol man and you will NEVER see me again.  Okay granted I was preggie when they finally found out who I was dating but that shut my dad up and he settled down.  Then we had D's family to contend with.  His mom was like my mom.  Devout Catholic and didn't mind and didn't say a word.  Neither did his siblings.  But now his dad who I have no clue what religion he was but was apart of the Black Panthers didn't take D and me dating non to kindly.  He made a similar comment to D and D got riled like I did.  Needless to say the two dad's of the family got over ruled.  As did D's mom who insisted we get married.  She didn't take kindly when my mom said if my girl doesn't want to get married she doesn't have to.  We will help with the baby like I am sure you all will also.  D and I didn't want to get married we were broke up by that time and it was very very messy break up.  I misscarried.

Flash forward a ways to about 3 years ago.  My brother calls home says he is dating a black girl whose daddy is some high ranking officer in a base over from him.  Her parents are okay with my brother and low and behold my dad is going I think a strong woman will be good for your brother and didn't once bring up her skin color like he did with D's!  Needless to say that pist me the hell off!  So my dad and I went full blown battle fight with my poor hubby going what the fuck is going on.  My mom explained things to him and he goes well I will let E and Jackie go at it cause I know my wife doing that big of a hypicritcal thing is going to set her off.

It wasn't the fact my brother was dating a black girl.  It was the fact my dad raised some hell over me with it and he wasn't even blinking an eye lid over my brother dating a black girl.  We had it preached to us that what ever us girls did our brother can do and what ever oru brother can do us girls can do.  So needless to say when my dad pulled that shit I got irriate.  So I got the second apology out of my dad to one of his kids.  The first was to my sister after she raised hell about moving in with her hubby then boy friend and how my dad raised hell over that.  And my brother even called and said I gave ya some guff about D, it wasn't because I didn't like him because of his skin it was because your my baby sister and he and I did have a phoen convo about it, I am just calling to let you know that thanks to you standing your guns with dad eased the way for me and A to date with out dad pulling his shit. 

Okay when my kids where born I was living in a small backwards town in Iowa.  Where everyone knows everyone's business.  I knew basically nobody and trusted even less.  Well one of our comp costumers, the kids took a shine too.  B was gay.  The kids then took a shine to B's partner Bi'.  They didn't have kids and sorely want them still but with B having full blown AIDS they are scared to have any child dependent on them.  Mainly because Bi is very much immature yet!  B and Bi became our babysitters.  My parents had no problem with this even though Randy's dad threw a fit!  Spouting off all sorts of things........Aren't you afraid they are going to make your son gay and all sorts of other stupid shit.  The kids stayed with B and Bi even on my days off because B spoiled them.  To this day my kids know who B and Bi are and when we get time when home they go see their uncles.

Now how is my dad getting hypicritcal here when he fully supported our gay friends watching oru kids and becoming surregate parents to our kids?  Well we got into a huge political religious discussion over one of my mom's uncle's churchs.  Their church left their national association because they were allowing Female ministers, Gay and Lesbian ministors and sanctioned the okay of same sexed marriages.  I dared to say so what.  And my dad literally went off the deep end and started going it isnt' natural and blah blah blah.  I started laughing at him which pist him off even further.  And then he spouted off that marriage was to between a man and a woman.  That got me pist off as a minister (pagan/non demoniational) and I turned around and said who says?  A fictional book written by men who were scared of tits?  Men scared of anything that they didn't know about?  Please homosexuality is just as natural if not more so then heterosexuality and I got news for you dad, any gay couple or lesbian couple asking me to marry them in the eyes of their Gods or in a state where it is legal and sanctioned, I will do it!  So fuck off and realize your set in the ways is wrong.  Natural Scientist have proved that homosexuality occures in animals and we are nothing but two legged animals!  Homosexuality has been apart of this world just as long as a man and woman having sex has.  And if you think that is wrong then you best question why if your Christian, that YOUR God who created nature allowed something that you think is wrong to not only survivie but floursih!  And two men or two women can easily create a family and raise children jsut as well as any one man or one woman together! 

My dad didn't know what to say.  My mom just laughed and said E give up already.  We tuaght our kids to accept everyone for who they are and not what we think is right or wrong.  And even though Jackie didn't graduate college she is probably the most learned out of the other 2 kids who did graduate college.  Keep pushing her she will bust out books and go to internet sites that are going to prove her arguements and that will just piss you off.

So thus my dad is irritated with me again:D  And I am laughing at him especially when my mother not me pointed out to him that he accepted B and Bi as the kids adoptive parents and then he turns around and says shit like this to me!  He will get over it and when the conversation pops up with someone else with my dad he will most likely be hypicritical again and agree with me just to piss that person off!

Shakes my head and again says seeeeeeeee why I am not a big fan of "adults".

Now not many folks know this about me, basically because I don't flaunt it about like so many others do, I am an ordianed minister through the ULC and SHC churchs.  The main reason I got ordianed is so I could marry some pagan friends of mine legally.  They wanted a handfasting but also wanted it legal but didn't want two ceremonies.

I am the first person to say I am HUMAN.  I am also the first person to say I am spiritual but NOT one to bow, scrape, feel guilt, and always do the right things for my fellow man.  Basically because of my faith.  In my faith, one helps themselves before they go begging, asking, pleading, and such for "higher" help.  This also includes asking for mundane help on this plane of existance.  But when one person does ask for help and still struggles I do NOT hold it against them unless they start playing the victim or otherwise irritate the hell out of me.

I am a very hard person to like because I speak my mind.  Always have always will.  And does it irritate me that if I say one thing and someone disagrees with me and then turns around and agrees with someone else for saying the exact same thing?  Why yes it does.  And those ppl no longer are in my world then.

So what is this whole pondering of human nature about?  Well simply put, I like mindsay, a lot better then other blog sites.  But just like other places in this world both physical and cyber, people always, always show their true colors.  They put someone up on a pedestal and that someone DARES to be human, and have inner issues and inner pain and do something or somethings that show they need help, those folks that put them up on pedestals are usually the first ones to climb a ladder and push their friend off of that pedestal they put them on! 

Usually when this happens to ppl I know or to even myself, the first thing I say is:

"Well you found out who your friends are and who they aren't.  Cry, rant, rave and then be done with them.  Hold your head high, and get on with your life."

I am not perfect and I am human and myself have done the same things others have done to some of my friends.  I have also learned my lesson when it was done back to me because "GASP" I am human and someone DARED to tell me the pain in my life and how I was dealing with it at that time was WRONG.  How do these ppl know it is wrong?  They are so perfect and have done NOTHING to hurt others and regretted it?  Hardley!

These same ppl that love to throw stones are no better then the vilest human beings alive especially when they threaten, brag, and condem others because THEY put these ppl on pedestals and found out they are just like everyone else and are HUMAN.

What they need to realize is Nature no matter human, animal, or plant is the survival of life and when these ppl deciede that someone's life isn't up to par to their views it isn't up to them, society, or the gov't to judge them.  It is up to their Gods, their minds, and what is in their hearts and nobody elses.  Maybe humans need to start taking a step back and realize that animals are lot more intune with their societies, families, and mates then humans ever could wish to be.  And then take a page out of the animals book and start living their life with nature and not with what "society" thinks.
