6) Hometown?
Harrisburg (my real hometown isn't defined yet) -- Harrisburg, PA is not half as shitty as some claim. True, its glory days are long past (pop. 100,000 in the mid-50s), but it is currently in the midst of a mini renaissance. Harrisburg hit rock bottom in the middle 70s, back when the West Shore stayed away. Today Second Street has become "restaurant row," the center of the city's nightlife. City Island, once little more than pavement and drug deals, now houses a stadium, marina, and picnic areas. Mid-town Harrisburg is being revitalized as a cultural district. While this may be a too obvious attempt to bring culture to Harrisburg, culture is there if you dig for it (poetry thurdays at the Susquehana Art Museum, midtown theatre, several underground theatres).

Until you've eaten a meal of cold rice noodles and jasmine tea outside of 2nd Wok under the pink and blue glow of flourescent lights, you don't know shit about Harrisburg.

7) Month of your birthday?
November -- The most popular form of rain when getting married to a hot and sexy rockstar.

Its hard to hold a candle in the cold November Rain.

8) Last person you talked to?
My Mom -- an asskicker, to say the least .

9) What did you last eat?
Take Five (candy bar) -- Age old colloquial way of saying relax, take it easy. Five means five minutes presumably.

Jelli -- Jelli is slang for 'Jealous'

OMG im so jelli of him cuz he's got a six-pack and all the wenches on campus.

I don't post for over a week and now it's two days in a row.

Nothing substantial here, though. I'm trying to keep myself occupied and not get over-stressed about project stuff that has yet to come in to me. *sigh*

And so, three questions from TheDailyMeme.com:

1. Well, it's almost Fall! Did you have a good summer? Why/why not?

I wouldn't say it was a bad summer; a very busy summer, yes, but not necessarily bad. I had a project that was assigned to me in June and was due in August, so my work weeks during the summer were devoted to that project. On the weekends I relaxed, went to a wedding, went to a baby shower, celebrated some birthdays and a graduation, and hung out with friends when I could. I also took a few days' worth of vacation after my project shipped and did absolutely nothing. HEAVEN.

I also read a crap load of books this summer. I started the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon (am currently reading the fifth book), and fell in love with an 18th-century Scotsman.  Then I started (and finished in record time) the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer, and fell in love with a 20th-century vampire and a modern-day werewolf.

2. Do you have anything special going on this fall? What is it? If not, do you want to plan something special to do?

I'll be driving up to Hershey/Harrisburg two weekends in a row, starting with next weekend for my stepmom's 50th birthday (which reminds me... call Dad). After that it's the Zanzibar opening at Mom and Dave's. I'll also be working at the shelter every other weekend (or more if I want/need to). Other than that I'll simply be enjoying the fall season... pumpkins, apples and apple cider, colder weather, sweatpants and fuzzy socks, pretty colored leaves, trick-or-treat, etc.

3. Obligatory Fall Question: Are there any favorite TV shows that you watch starting up again this fall? If so, what are they? If not, is there another event in a hobby that's coming up that you're looking forward to?

Oh, definitely. I'll be tuning into "The Office," "Smallville," "ER"... and apparently "My Boys" premiered July 30th. Where the hell was I??? Nevermind. Apparently "My Boys" hasn't aired the third season premiere yet.

So that takes up my Thursday nights. TV every other night just sucks.

Because I'm getting antsy with wanting to get out of work and drive to Mom's to see baby. Need something to take my mind off of this, otherwise I'll be bolting in five minutes, haha.
