Sitting in the library of my school I notice the doors open to the elevator. The light above the doors illuminates and says "THIS CAR UP" in that spooky pre-1940's font. Looking into the elevator I notice that the walls are a really grody and very, very,
very creepy gray. The paint is chipping away in areas, and it looks like it should be in an insane assylum. The one thing that went through my mind (other than how spooky it was) was the sheer thought of "I will
never take the elevator in this library, no matter how bad my EDS is acting up that day, even if I have a wheelchair...I'll just walk down the stairs."
Then as the doors are closing, I notice a girl walking by the elevator. I thought she would go past until the door shut and she walked to the button and activated it. I thought to myself...This seems too much like a horror show. Despite the fact that "THIS CAR UP" lit up once again - I thought of it as a "Hellevator" almost. Why, I thought, would anyone step foot into this creepy looking thing. For a moment I saw in my mind's eye the car with someone in it descending rapidly into Hell...Nothing against the person in it. I simply could not get the thought out of my mind. Then soon after the elevator came up from below (I could hear it, it's just that freaking loud mind you) and a person stepped out. I thought of a demon stepping from the elevator as I could not see the person inside. Eventually a person emerged and I knew that my mind was just going into overload mode.
I just had to share this meditation with the wonderful people of the internetz.
