Dixie currently feels:
Sick
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Today I had to take the day off - I already had a check up with the nurse at the Crossfell Health Centre - and I also happened to be at the start of a developing chest infection on that very day.
How typical?
I'm being told to stay off tomorrow too.
Yesterday in the library, I was told by many that I shouldn't even be in school.
During my lessons, I had to sit with my salbutamol blue inhaler next to my pencil case on my desk - having to take it every time I started coughing.
I'm not meant to take it too much in one day, I don't think.
I think I took it about 30 times in 5 hours - and by quarter part 3, I was shaking and slurring my speech - and getting my words mixed up.
One thing I said to Sam in Media Studies was: "Scham... Pass uss the glooooue..."
Then I was chewing on some cardboard - as we're making stages for music programmes out of old copier paper boxes, and the print had all dissolved in my mouth.
So I turned and asked: "Scham, has my purple gone tongue?"
I did the same thing when I was talking to Claire in the library after school.
"Is that your schript for Schweet Charity?"
"I juscht wanna go home... Make schome iche water... I might use a whole cube of iche trays."
She said I was talking like I was drunk.
I noticed it myself.
It was very funny. :)
The check-up wasn't as bad as I expected.
Fine, I didn't care for the idea of the stethoscope being shoved up under my bra, but, you know.
I got to do a peak flow test too.
THEY ARE SO GOD DAMN FUN. :)
Though, painful sometimes.
I only ever get to do them when I'm ill, so... Not good.
Ian and Lisa took us there and back.
Ian's my brother, and Lisa's his wife.
They're both funny and really nice people.
I like going to their house sometimes.
They come out with really random things and I laugh.
But neither of them like the sound of my laugh.
I got a chocolate and toffee eclaire from Morrison's, and ate it when I got home.
It was really rather lush.
Ian bought me the new Nintendo magazine too.
I got free Wii remote decals.
I might stick the Sonic one on my Wii remote, brighten it up a bit.
I played some Guitar Hero III during the afternoon.
I got some more 100% scores on Medium level and pwned some more n00bs on Face-Off over wi-fi connection.
Ah, the fun.
I'm currently addicted to Fires At Midnight by Blackmore's Night.
I love the guitar solo near the end, and the bit where Candice raises her voice to sing.
All of Blackmore's Night's songs seem to be about the moon, the stars, the nighttime, and dancing with witches and spirits.
It all seems a bit Wiccan.
But it's supposed to be Medieval Folk Rock.
Eh, who knows.
Music artists are indeed, confusing people.
Hooray! It's unofficial right now, but my name will most likely be Órlaith inghean Amlaib. I have to check on the "inghean" to make sure it's period. The next step is to design some armor, drink some mead, and go to Pennsic!
For those of you who have no clue what I'm talking about: http://www.sca.org
I want a sword.

It was still fun even though everything was geared towards souveniers. ;) I usually never partake in the souvenier schpeel but I caved in this time and got some flags to cheer on our knight. We had the red and yellow knight and because we were "royalty" we had front row seats.

Here is the main hall/ye olde gift shoppe.

mmm tapestry-errific.

From Left to Right: Leif, ME, el kingy, my bro Spud, Savannah, Iverness63
Arent we all posey! ;)

Leif becoming SIR Leif... twas his birthday and all.

Our smexy knight.. who WON! Yeah, it was great! Our "side" was cheering for the RELLOW guy. Its easier to shout that then "yay, red-yellow knight". Not only did we cheer that but some of the people around us got TOO into it. They were yelling and screaming and standing. It added to the experience. haha.

I loved the lights and the horses. They had the horses do tricks and show off their dressage. Beautiful horses and they looked so fit n healthy.

Our Rellow knight in shining armor.
They had some falconry as well. I have always wanted to get into that sport. Here is a small video of the knights trying to win by capturing the ring.
NOW, I must go outside and work before any rain falls. Enjoy everyone.
"Dulcissima" by Corvus Corax
Dulcissima
(Latin for "Most Beautiful")
"Ave, formosissima, gemma pretiosa!"
Dulcissima
Vidi florem floridum, vidi florum florem,
Vidi rosam Madii cunctis pulchriorem,
Vidi stellam splendidam, cunctis clariorem,
Per quam ego degeram lapsus in amorem.
Quid plus? Collo virginis brachia iactavi
Mille dedi basia, mille reportavi,
Atque sepe sepius dicens affirmavi:
"Certe, certe istud est id, quo anhelavi!"
Most beautiful, indeed!
You can also check them out at Myspace for their album "Cantus Buranus"
One post.
THIS one post.
This one post will be my last post.
After all these days not posting anything and nothing to need posted, I think it's best to just stop it. Besides this mindsay isn't a real good homepage for my iExplorer, it just takes to long to load. But that aside. I just don't have anything special to say. Maybe I'll come back sometime when I think I have found myself and feel a great need to post everything that goes on in my life.
Maybe when I'm going on a trip to...hmm hell i don't know: Aussie or whatever, maybe a nice world trip.
Okay, I think I'll post something about my birthday, which is the 21th of this month and maybe how it was to didge in a large group again, which is going to be on the same day. But for now I think I can say goodbye and pray for some good day to come to start posting again when something really happens in my life.
Cuz, what do I do now? Well I go out with friends, I get drunk of wine in "carnaval" and hmm I play games in solitude in my room. So that's all I really do. Hmm ok I bought Day of Defeat source, but that's the other thing I do, buy stuff and listen to music. Oh yeah I tested my didge skills again and made a short testsong of about 5 min. But that's nothing special to post is it?
My largest post of the last few weeks was about 5 sentences so that's not a big deal. And it started to snow by the way.
Oh yeah!!! I really got news now I remember. Yesterday my computer evolved into a leafblower. It really did. I called to the Dell helpdesk and it seemed my graphicscard was broken. REally weird that the fans started to blow and suck that hard but I think that's because he thinks it get overheated (which he did do a lot of times before) Haah Loon music is weird. Yeah I've got New Age and Classical Loon. Weird music with loon noises.
I just say all thats on my mind.
Ok in short what i've been doing:
- Bought a book of dream explanations, which should help me with my weird dreams
- messed with my pc
- bought a few games
- played way to many games
- listned to music a hell lot, like always
- bought a few new cd's: Helium vola: Liod, In lichter farbe steht der wald (Maxi cd), Spacemonkeyz vs gorillaz, Laika come home, which seems to be reggae...hmmm and probably more oh yeah Miroque 8, Des teufels lockvoegel
- I found out that I just had 60 gb of my 250 gb left so i deleted a lot of stuff....now i have 77 gb again.
- I'm drinkin coke
- My hair is growing bit by bit longer. Oh yeah I've taken a haircut, only in the neck and just modelling it. Yeah I'm pretty happy now but it must grow at least 30 cm more.
That's about everything i've been doing. I just want to buy a Ocean drum (i know an adres where they are just 15 euro), a shaman drum, a gong and last but not least Hurdy Gurdy. And maybe a new didge, but I want to craft one myself too.
Well for this is my final post, I reckon....or not...cuz I want to post at least 1 in 15 days from now.
Goodbye for now.
