O MÉDICO E O MONSTRO e FRANKENSTEIN

4. O MÉDICO E O MONSTRO

Título original do filme: Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde

País de origem: Estados Unidos

Ano da produção: 1932

Direção: Rouben Mamoulian

Elenco: Fredric March, Miriam Hopkins, Rose Hobart, Holmes Herbert, Halliwell Hobbes, Edgard Norton, Tempe Piggott

Duração: 98 min

Baseado no livro “The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde” (traduzido como “O Médico e o Monstro” em português), de Robert Louis Stevenson

Filme apresentado no dia 19/05/2009

5. FRANKENSTEIN

Título original do filme: Frankenstein

País de origem: Estados Unidos

Ano da produção: 1931

Direção: James Whale

Elenco: Boris Karloff, Colin Clive, Mae Clarke, John Boles, Frederick Kerr

Duração: 71 min

Baseado no livro "Frankenstein ou O Moderno Prometeu", de Mary Shelley

Filme apresentado no dia 26/05/2009

Blog #81

LOL, WORDY

All of last week, I had a song I HAD to listen to every day when I walked down to get the free college bus.

That was Dammit by Blink 182.

All this week, I've been listening to No Presents For Christmas by King Diamond.

It's proper weird listening to Christmas songs in the middle of spring.

For the final coursework week, Sarah changed our Thursday lesson to another coursework hour.

I spent it in the LRC with Lewis. I gathered together a bit of my research, but then spent the rest of the time faffing on MindSay and Blogthings.

I saw Shelly come in - she was downstairs on the ground floor doing her IT coursework.

I stood around with her for a while. As soon as she'd finished off, we went back out and sat at the round tables.

A stand had been set up in the corridor at college - giving out free chlamydia tests.

Previously when they'd set one up, Ash and I had dared Shelly to take one - but she refused.

I dared her again this time, and this time she went along with it.

So we went into the toilets on the ground floor and she pissed in a tube. :)

I saw her piss too - proper orange. Weird as.

Of course, I trust her, I believe if she had anything I could catch from her, she'd have told me.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After she'd handed it in - we went into town.

We bought our lunches and walked back to college in time to see Ash.

We sat back on the round tables - Adam joined us too.

Shelly gave him a glow-in-the-dark condom from the bag of sexual goodies the people at the stand had given her. Lubricants and various novelty condoms - nice. :P

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In English, Mary set us all off on coursework.

I went down to the LRC - but of course, I didn't do any.

I saw Ash at the reception desk - we decided we'd go down onto ground floor and sit together.

We got two computers together and did some work on our Media Studies coursework.

Ash was making changes to the final draft of her evaluation.

She asked me what she could write for her final section - the section about the task we didn't choose.

I'd written about doing an interview and a scandal story.

I took the piss and told her that she couldn't write "scandal story", because I'd written it first. I told her she had to write "a story with elements of scandal".

Fucking piss - she was almost over the maximum word count - and she responds with: "Oh REALLY. How WORDY..."

Then I carried on the joke saying she couldn't write Jonathan 'wears formal clothes' - she had to write 'dresses with an air of formality'.

It carried on for a long time - to the point where Ash was laughing so hard she had to put her hands over her face to muffle herself, as everyone was looking at us.

I love making Ash laugh - it makes me feel warm inside. :)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

At the bus stop, I saw Becca.

She was going to her sister's house and was planning to get the 64 - but I told her she could get the same bus as me.

We stood together in the shelter and took the Leven Valley bus back to my nana's.

She came in for a few minutes and had a natter on to my nana.

Ah, the days when we were young - the randomness on that field out back...

Now she's proper different - I don't think she's changed some things, but others are proper new.

I love Mary Murphy.

We need more Mary Murphy’s in life.

I’m a die hard fan of So You Think You Can Dance and I absolutely love Mary Murphy. I’ve always loved Mary Murphy. Mary Murphy is Paula Abdul, only sincere, intelligent, and insightful. She is a constant cheerleader for a job well done. She is a thoughtful, tender critic when more work is needed.

And what I love most about her is that when she loves what she sees, she doesn’t hold back on the praise or the accolades. She screams. She cries. She applauds.

We need more nurturing in this world. We need more nurturing people in this world. I’m vowing right now to become a Mary Murphy and give it out.

Whoo hoo!

Drowning my sorrows in CRISPS

Our sketchbooks were supposably due today.
I was sat downstairs in the hour and a half before E Block started - seeing how much I could get done.
I actually managed to get around 7 pages completed - leaving only about 10 to finish.

I finished a further 5 during the lesson - but then we were told that we could have until Monday to hand them in.
Nice one - so I planned to finish the rest on Sunday.

Ashleigh told me I'd given her a bruise on her arm yesterday - so I kept poking it. :)
It's fun to poke bruises.

Her comment to me was piss: "I've got a bruise on my arm because of you, you BASTARD."
It's just hilarious hearing Ash swear. :)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I was hyper off my tits on the walk into town.
I refused to push Ash - so when she set off pushing herself, I waited till she was unsuspecting - then I punched her a few times in her bruised arm. :)

(I did this yesterday on the 3rd floor corridor - and she couldn't control herself, so she crashed into several doors, walls, etc. :D)

Then I found some empty Coke cans - so I tried to kick them as far as I could.
That was nothing compared to some of the shite I was coming out with and how loud I was laughing.

But then Shelly had to go and ruin my mood.
When I'm hyper, you leave my mood alone. It's best when it slowly fades out on its own.
But no, when it's just ended, STOP - then it just turns to INSTANT depression lapse - and that's what she did to me.

So I walked under the scaffolding.
I haven't walked under the scaffolding for ages.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I attempted to cheer myself up with crisps.
I ate two bags from Home Bargains, then two from B&M.

We went to Home Bargains and Greggs - then we had a change of scene, decided to sit on the steel benches opposite the bus station.
I've done well for myself - I've only eaten at Greedy Joes for 3 of the 5 days this week. :)

I really need to get out of this CRISPS mood.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Returning to college - B Block pissed me off YET AGAIN.
This time, I just blatantly refused to do anything.
I knew EXACTLY what to write - the answer was just so fucking obvious.
I just couldn't write it.

So I read through today's shitload of revision notes instead.

I was so pissed off when I went downstairs, I asked Shelly if I could use her as a punching bag.
I know that I don't have a strong punch - but apparently I hurt her a few times.
I punched her tummy and her arms - then when I was hurting her, I moved onto the wall beside us.

This didn't really help me prepare for D Block.
I'd overheard Sarah talking to Ash's class when I was in the room opposite - both doors open - so I knew we were writing MORE fucking essays.

Sarah just took the piss.
She knows I'm fucking struggling, but she makes no effort to help me, the cunt.
Then towards the end of the lesson, she was drawing smiley faces on a piece of paper and showing them to me.
I was just like ER, THE FUCK MATE.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So I went home in this shit mood as well.

There was a guide dog on the bus.
I wanted to stroke it.

When I got home, I ate more crisps - bringing the grand total of crisp consumption to 6 bags.

Real Crisps - Roast Ox flavour
Tayto Crisps - Cheese & Onion flavour
Space Raiders - Spicy flavour
Pringles Rice Infusions - Sweet BBQ flavour
Pom-Bears - Cheese & Onion flavour
Pom-Bears - Cheese & Onion flavour

The Space Raiders were only like 5p, I was like LOL.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Today, my blog started fucking up.
I couldn't update or edit any entries.

Shelly suggested that I delete all tempory internet files and cookies.
Still didn't work. (Still doesn't to this day.)

So then she suggested I use Firefox.
Oddly enough - it works.

So now I have to use Firefox to update my blog.

Everyone on the forums said they're all doing technical work for MindSay - and even though they've finished it now - I'm still not getting anywhere.
So it's something to do with Internet Explorer being shitty.
