For those of you who don't know, EnMySites is me! I make a few maps for TA to play by myself... i have yet to upload any to the community, but i will one day... i have a few works i would like to share with Mindsay though... I'm sure not many of you will understand, but oh well, i'll try to explain... its just maps anyway, its not like you're trying to play the game... here it goes...
(side note, i made lots of maps as a child, its been YEARS since i've made maps, but i remember how to make them... on to the show)
This map i name Core Prime Defensive. I made is so one player is set on the platform at the top and the other players are set at different points around the outside... its meant to be a 1v1-4 map... its an all metal map so there are lots of resources, so the combat is really intense... this is the first map is made recently... The game play is pretty good and i got what i wanted out of it, an all out attack on me!
This map i named Prismatic Chaos... Its name is exactly what it is... it can either be a 2v2 or a 4v4 map the teams are north vs. south... the bulges on in the middle have lots of metal so thats what the battle is for... hovercraft have an advantage as they can avoid the choke points, and ships can bombard the shores as well... aircraft can easily fly around the map too... ground units can battle for hours on this map... 2v2 is the funnest, as 4v4 becomes out of hand sometimes as the AI gets confused... this map too days to make, and i am very proud of the design of it... this is one of my favorite maps!
This maps is called Slate to Hell... the map's tile set is called "Slate" and it is a very small map with lots of choke points... i made it fairly quickly... i made it for close range, intense combat... aircraft are a must to get the full effect of this map as metal is hidden on the mountains and islands... aircraft can be used to avoid the choke points and gun-down units caught up in them... i have yet to test this map, but i beleive that my design is effective... after this blog i am going to go do a test run on this map... so tata!
INSERT - I've tested the map and aircraft are not as essential as i had planned... the map is still great fun and intense close combat though... aircraft are still valued, but tanks are the biggest source of victory... in late game K-bots may be better at maneuvering around the wreckage... I did not plan for the Commander to be able to climb the mountains on the sides, i may go back and re-map it so that those are islands instead, but those may take up more room, i'll take a look...
