Okay, so this past weekend I finally came to the realization that I am no longer the metal head I once was back in high school, etc. I am now a tea drinkin', tye dye and sandal wearin, Beatles lovin m-f'n hippie.
Keeta finally turned me to the "dark side" haha. But I can't help it, it only feels natural to me. Even in high school I never felt right trying to fit in with the metal heads. I do have a very sadistic sense of humor and stuff, but I just love the ideas that the Beatles and John Lennon had. I have this strange connection with Lennon, don't ask me what, I just do. Even Keeta commented on it the night we watched the Legend Lennon DVD a couple weeks ago. Someone else even commented a couple weeks ago that I was never really into metal, that I was always more into punk and stuff. Which I didn't argue because I've always known that about myself. So in all reality, I'm a cross between punk (and not that pussy shit like Good Charlotte, I'm rockin Misfits and Vision) and hippie.
Anyways...........
Yesterday me, Keeta, and Loni all went out to the mall and bought some things. We got Loni some shirts and a pair of shorts from The Children's Place in the mall, then we went to rare image where Keeta bought a pair of jeans for $5 and we looked for a decent Beatles shirt for me, but alas, found nothing. So we went over to Hot Topic and picked up a tan Yellow Submarine shirt. Then went down and picked up a couple shirts for her and one for me at Old Navy and on the way over there I bought her a John Lennon Yellow Submarine figure
. All in all, yesterday was such a good day. Last Saturday night I started my second job working at Pro Resources stuffing the sunday papers for the star press. I get to work with Keeta and Angi plus we get paid $40 for only 2 hours of work! Today was also a great day. Mine and Keeta's Beatle collection grew as we recieved our copies of the Magical Mystery Tour on CD and our original pressing White Album on vinyl. I feel bad because we ripped off the poor guy since it's in perfect condition! Oh! We also got our copy of The Beatles Live at the BBC on saturday too. Well, that's all I have to say for now. Everyone have a good night!
Good karma to you all!!
