Lowering Blood Pressure @ MindSay
Guess what? She blames me. Because, of course, I am the cause of EVERYTHING, aren't I? Yeah, really.. It didn't occur to her that her high blood pressure couldn't also be caused by:
- Drinking at least 2 bottles of wine every single night.
- Her poor eating habits.
- Not exercising.
- Obesity.
- Stress caused by RONNIE (here's a fact- she only SCREAMS when Ronnie is here. Otherwise she just yells a bit).
But no, no. It's only me. And of course, since I'm me, I MUST be TRYING to cause this, RIGHT? Sdkjhdsklhsd As a result she's started screaming MORE. Yeah, great way to get the blood pressure down by CAUSING YOUR OWN STRESS. Okay, for example:
So last night I took my first ACE inhibitor and it seems to have worked a treat on my blood pressure. I know this because I caused the assistant manager to nearly break her neck at work this morning and she wasn't to best impressed and I received a small bollocking for my troubles and yet more dirty looks. Which before last night would have left my heart reasonably stressed out but not today. On the other hand, I did have a rather bad low blood sugar in the early hours of the morning which I think may have been caused by the drug but the pharmacology text books don't make any note of this as a side affect. Though I can recall something about lowering blood sugar as a side affect of some drugs used in my cardiovascular pharmacology lecture block, were these ACE inhibitors I can not recall. Anyways, it's not like I have enough A-frame yellow signs to cover every mark I clean with water on a daily basis. Nor do I have time to clean and dry the water, if they want a better job they should try not to be so tight and coff up some extra money to pay for extra hours. Besides in 6 months of working there all the other staff and customers have never had any problems with the wet patches, I think she has it in for me now, and why she can't keep her eyes on the floor I do not know, especially when they should all know that I am around doing a job that involves the floor being wet and as a result should take care. Bloody stupid bitch!
Also, I now know the secrets to peeling and grating large numbers of carrots at high speed. However, my hands are sorry for it, my thumbs are kinda numb and the number of bubbles crackling in the synovial fluid of my wrists was immense.
Long days and pleasant nights,
-S
That's exactly what it feels like lately? I'm supposed to "be calm and relaxed" to help out my blood pressure...but TRYING to be calm and relaxed is really hard to do lol I'm better at pretending? well here's the newest thing(s) today that have set me off...
1.) My grandfather went to the doctor cause he was having some difficulties breathing...they sent him to the hospital? he needs a blood transfusion...no clue why?
2.) My aunt was rushed to the ER (they know my family by name now...I kid you not...Christensen? Would you happen to be related to so and so?) they think she had a heart attack? or a massive panick attack...somthing with her chest...
I have quite had it with hospitals lately...doctors are not my friend...needles are not my friend...and those freakin blood pressure cuffs are really not my friend...>.> hate those damn things... I have to go in once a week every week every month till they say I don't have to no more...bleh
I shouldn't be on the computer right now...cause I'm supposed to 'relax' when I get home from classes...which is a nice way of saying forced to sleep...oh well...I give...
nap time for me!
Note from the blogmaster: For those unaccustomed to natural medicine approaches such as naturopathy, the idea that a symptom is not what needs to be treated, to become well, may be a foreign one. We are so used to going to the drugstore, for example, and looking for the bottle that addresses our symptoms. That's the whole thrust of the Nyquil commericals, remember the long spiel of symptoms ending with ....so you can rest....
In the eyes of the naturopath, the herbalist, the holistic health practitioner, symptoms are clues. They point to core problems that have to be addressed for true healing to occur. I hope you enjoy this educational health article, courtesy of Native Remedies..
Conventional medicines usually treat the symptoms of high blood pressure, but seldom address the underlying causes.
Naturopaths recognize that high blood pressure may be a sign or symptom of imbalance in the body and know that the best way to treat it is by a combination of lifestyle changes and natural remedies to remove the causes of the high blood pressure, rather than simply treating the symptoms.
What about natural remedies - can they really be of benefit for lowering blood pressure?
There is a great deal of scientific evidence to suggest that the use of carefully chosen herbal remedies and dietary supplements can help to lower blood pressure, as well as to improve the overall functioning of the heart, arteries and the entire cardiovascular system.
What herbalists have known for centuries has now been clinically proven to be a potentially effective alternative to synthetic blood pressure medication, especially if combined with a healthy diet and regular exercise.
What is High-Rite?High-Rite comes in capsule form and contains herbs which have been carefully selected to balance and regulate blood pressure and also to address some of the contributory factors which may be causing it.
While some of the ingredients in High-Rite specifically target blood vessels which have become constricted, others improve the heart's ability to pump blood effectively, while also treating and preventing plaque build up in the arteries.
In addition to these properties, High-Rite also helps to reduce stress and boost the body's ability to fight illness. Each herb is in therapeutic dosage for maximum effect.
