Love Song @ MindSay

There's a song concept I'm kind of fixated on.

Every so often there's a new idea that comes up in here. Lyrics, instrumental, piano, orchestral (for when I'm feeling delusional, of course - I have NO experience with orchestra). Just an idea I like to play around with.

Another random happy love song, kind of. I'm not sure if it's more directed to the object of affection or God, because it definitely acknowledges both. I think it's talking to God about the love interest, but with a tilt towards Creation. I like it.

The goofy thing is that one of my campers inspired me....after I had started toying with it. It'll happen sometimes that a particular character evokes some cool phrases, that I wouldn't have thought about if I didn't know them. But I started playing around with this concept, and then I met her. And within days, I had more of the lyrics.

But, it's still very unfinished. So, no sharey. Not yet, anyway.

I love this song. Aventura is a great group anyway. I was just on their Myspace page. Ever since I heard this song, I have been in love with their work. I think they will continue to be one of those groups that just touches the heart of truth and love. I can't stop listening. Dancing to it with my husband is awesome, too. Only for one kiss... Alright I give up.Why is it that when you miss someone-all the f-ing songs remind you of him/her?Is this some sort of sick torture? And that last song gives me goosebumps.It was our newest song.

The importance of this song was that we were goin to Ryan's party and were arguing in the truck.I was upset that he would never tell me what was goin on in his head.But his reasoning was that he just couldn't.But we made up just before we got there and I can still see him looking at me,the sunlight behind him.Telling me he was caught in my beautiful eyes.I shrugged it off but he grabbed my hand and told me he loved me.And this song came on and we both sang it.The resonance from his voice told me he meant every word-it brought tears to my eyes.

 

After 3 weeks without him...Im just now listening to it again.And everytime I do hear it I get that ache in my chest.

Sidenote: Okay, I'm just going to come out and say it. For some reason back in the 80's and early 90's black folks used to LOVE this song. I can't tell you how many times I've heard this played on the stereo of some guy who was clumsily trying to seduce me. Everytime I think of cheesy seduction, I think of this song. LOL!
