Liverpool @ MindSay
PSV drew, I still can't believe it. Farfan the man scored in the second half, and just when we thought PSV would withstand the pressure to win again, Roda JC scored an equaliser on the 92nd minute. So disappointing, because although Roda JC pulled everyone up for the corner kick (yes, that includes the goalkeeper as well), it was the defence's fault of not being able to clear the ball quick enough out of the box that costed PSV two points. PSV now only have a 4 point lead, and we're playing Ajax on the 20th O_o
Recently I've re-ignited my interested in lucid dreaming, and for a few occasions, I did realise I was dreaming in my dream. Failed in all the occasions to control my dreams as I did before (well actually I only managed to do that once, but it was a short lived lucid dream as the dream world crumbled under light of reality). It be cool if I can start to control my dreams soon, cause then I'd be able to extend my "working hours" while I sleep, since in my dreams, I, am the owner of my 4 dimensional world, being able to alter every single part of the dream, and have the ability to control time.
Went to the orphanage yesterday, was a fun trip as usual. Its great to know that the kids know know me, cause I get random whacks and smiles from the kids at the place. Yue Yue is still as jolly and chubby. We crashed the Korean restaurant after the trip, and I got my Vitamin B drinks :D It was also fun in another way, cause MC was with us as well. One interesting thing I saw during our trip was MC without her glasses. Last time me and MC were at the orphanage together, her glasses were off for a brief moment of time when a kid took it off, but she quickly re-gained possession, so I didn't get to see a clearer view. This time, it was kids instead of a kid, so she was kind of fighting for the glasses while having fun, and its probably the first time I saw her properly without glasses.
Its always weird to see people who wear glasses all the time to take their glasses off, cause in your memory you only treasure the image of them wearing the glasses. I guess I was a little bit shocked when I saw her without glasses, but nevertheless, she looked beautiful to me even without the glasses.
I think I'm out of gas and motivation to continue writing this entry :/ One thing I have to add, is that the last time when I was enlightened by Ms N during Regen, she mentioned that God wanted me to look up things related to "me" in the Bible so I could fully understand what God wants to tell me. Ms N showed me the passages where the name "Stephen" appears, and apparently, in the Acts, Stephen was a holy man who was filled with the Holy Spirit, but he ended up getting stoned by criticising those who condemned him for blaspheming with stories of the Bible, even though he didn't commit the act of blaspheming. It kind of gives me the creeps, cause is God telling me that I would have to sacrifice myself for something "big"?
I don't really fear death, but I'm not quite sure if I'm able to digest what I learned and actually become ready for what's coming up for me. Maybe that's why we are humans, cause we aren't actually afraid of the process of death and what comes up after we die, but it is the ties and bonds with the modern world that cause us to fear death, as we lose "everything" and cause people around us to suffer and cry.
Yesterday was a very busy day indeed, so here's a round up of everything that was the 13th May 2004.
Driving into work yesterday I became alarmed that the speedometer on the car might no longer be working because it was reading that I was doing 60 at one point and there was just no way I had hit 60, I know what 60 feels like having driven at that speed before plenty of times. Was something wrong with the engine? Nope, I dropped into lower gears and was greeted by the usual noise that accompanies being in to low a gear for the speed that the car is traveling at. There is a name for that I think but I can't quite remember what it is, does anyone know? As I didn't want to cause an accident or be called over by the police I decided that I would just have to travel at the speed it was saying that I was doing even though I knew I was doing slower. After looking at the read out for a little longer I noticed that the small (stress on the small) units for speed were in km/h and not mph and a quick hit of the mode button changed them around, which also gave me my true speed in mph of 35. Later I spoke to my Dad about this and he told me he had been messing around trying to learn how many miles the car had now traveled sinceit is due a service after 10,000. He must have accidently changed the way the speed was presented whilst doing this.
I was in and out of my first job very quickly and right on to my next one straight across town. It was much more relaxed in the restraunt during my day shift due to not being that busy until the night shift which I had off tonight. Which was good as I was tired by the end of my nine and a half hour shift. But yeah the chef's seemed in a better mood moaning about the managers and waiting staff, James calling them all wankers for the way they all stand around the bar talking and making mistakes with the orders.
During the afternoon the FA cup had been on the radio and sounded like an excellent match. Luckily for me it ended up going to extra time (and eventually penalties) so I was able to catch the end of the second half of extra time by legging it through town to my car and getting home. The players were completly wrecked. It was a shame that West Ham lost and that Liverpool won it.
I managed to continue to watch an episode of "Lost" yesterday which I have to say I'm enjoying very much. I also caught the first part in what I think will be a two part episode of "Doctor Who" involving the cybermen (these guys were very cool) and also tonight's episode of CSI:NY.
In between that I was online writing yesterday's entry for 54 minutes which surprised me when I had had it all planed the night before. This entry was bullet pointed as I was too tired to write the whole thing and instead read the Sin City graphic novel I had bought earlier in the week.
I've begun noticing some discomfort in my heart again so I shall began exercising again to accompany all the physical labout I'm putting in with my jobs. Though on a plus side I have began to see a few pounds drop off.
The fact that I only have 2 and a half months before August has hit and rather scared me before my neuroscience exam. Shall be doing as much reading tomorrow before work as I can.
I'm thinking that later this week I shall visit the cinema and see "Silent Hill"as it doesn't look bad from the trailer and I don't think the reveiws have been that bad for a computer game to movie conversion. A game that I have played and liked though I always think that it isn't as good as the "Resident Evil series".
Long days and pleasant nigths dear reader,
And remember to keep watching the skys,
Stephen
Before I get into what's been going on since Monday, here's how I fared with my Champions League predictions:
Barcelona v Chelsea
Gavvie's prediction: Chelsea win 4-3 on agg.
Actual result: Barcelona won 3-2 on agg.
I can't say I'm too disappointed. The Special One got his tactics completely wrong at the Nou Camp, and deservedly lost. The last minute penalty that Frank Lampard converted was pretty much the only real goal threat that Chelsea had posed.
Arsenal v Real Madrid
Gavvie's prediction: Arsenal win 2-1 on agg.
Actual result: Arsenal won 1-0 on agg.
Hey, at least I got the right team down for the win ^_^ To be honest, it's probably the best 0-0 I've seen in a while. Either side should've won it, but it was a brilliant stalemate.
Liverpool v Benfica
Gavvie's prediction: Benfica win 1-0 on agg.
Actual result: Benfica won 3-0 on agg.
Liverpool? European champions? By what happened on Wednesday, I don't think so. I'd always seen their Final victory last year as a little flukey, and the result here pretty much proves it. Liverpool were deservedly beaten by the same team who'd knocked Man United out of the group stages, though their lack of any real firepower probably contributed some as well.
Villareal v Rangers
Gavvie's prediction: Villareal win 4-2 on agg.
Actual result: Villareal won on away goals, 3-3 on agg.
The two away goals Villareal got in the first leg served them good. Rangers could only draw 1-1 in the second leg, so the away goals read 2-1 in Villareal's favour. To be honest, I don't know a lot else about this game, only that Rangers scored first. Unlucky.
----
OK, that's that done. To be honest, there's not a lot else I can think of that's worth mentioning. I'm (still) trying to find a new job with little success, however it seems the O2 shop in town are looking for people again. Looky:
Rather nice, if I do say so myself. I've still got an O2 form lying around, and apparently the closing date is the 15th, so I might spend some time tomorrow filling it in, and then hopefully I can drop it off on Wednesday (which is the 15th..yeah, cutting a fine line I know, but it'll be alright). And..maybe I won't smash a finger this time :P
I need my hair cut as well. It's been around 2 months since I've had it done, but it's getting fairly long. Well, I say long, it's about at the point where people say "Oh, your hair needs cutting Gav", although it'll probably be about another 2-3 weeks until I do actually get it done.
The Side Project. It seems not having the album on a server for download has harmed it somewhat. To my knowledge, one person has actually got it, and that's Ollie. I know that cos he asked for it last Monday morning ^_^ I'm trying valliently to try and get it up onto AWFFs servers, so if you're waiting for it, bear with me. I can still send it through MSN if you prefer. The way things are going, it'd probably be quicker. Next time Brandon's online, I might see if he can upload it for me, cos transferring to Mephy's too slow. Well, for a 42MB file anyways. I shall keep you posted.
Keeping on the TSP subject, I'm going to start planning on Single #2 fairly shortly, as in within a month or so, for a release aroundabouts the end of May. I'm going to list the three songs I've got in my head at the moment. For those of you who have heard them already, let me know which one you reckon I should choose. If you've not heard them, they'll be replacing Calm and Gas Man Evolve on MySpace within the next week or so:
1. Serenade (this one's already on MySpace)
2. Alongside The Others
3. Flying First Class
That's all for today. I'll try and be a bit more consistent with blog entries, though I doubt that you'll see another one until Wednesday time.
Till then

It's been about a year since I got my Nokia..erm..I forget what model it is (to be honest, I've never been able to remember it since I bought it), but I've upgraded now and switched networks. The actual reasoning behind it is rather odd, but hear me out (or Page Down until I stop babbling about my phone).
On my O2 Pay as you Go SIM, I'd get 300 free texts each time I topped up £10, which usually got me by for a month, but I'd usually top up £20 anyways, to tide me over for the next month. I've now moved onto a T-Mobile Flext contract. It's £20 p/month, but I'm effectively getting £34 worth of texts and calls. Now, you'd probably think that's a bum deal compared to O2, but it isn't. I get £14 free. With my logic, that's a good deal ^_^
So yeah, with new contract, I gots a new phone. I've now got a Motorola V3i, which is supposedly better than the V3. I can't say I've noticed anything between the two myself (my sister had a V3), but it's not as slow as she said the V3 was, so...result, I think.
IF YOU HAD BEEN PRESSING PAGE DOWN, YOU CAN STOP NOW.
I've got Morning Runner's album on at the mo (Wilderness Is Paradise Now). I honestly can't remember the lead singer's voice sounding so weird, though it fits the music. I don't see where the comparisons with Coldplay have come from. It's like saying that Jack Johnson is the American version of James Blunt. Everybody knows that Jack Johnson's got more talent (plus he's been doing it longer). Silly media, labelling people as something/somebody they're obviously not. Shame on you!
For the second time in 8 days, Man United beat Wigan by a scoreline which wasn't deserved. The game ended 2-1 (shame it wasn't another 4-0, not a shame that I didn't put money on a 4-0 victory happening), but Wigan had been 1-0 up for..oo..about 15 minutes, and had then held onto a 1-1 draw all the way up to the 91st minute, when one of their players bundled the ball into his own net. I'm obviously happy with the 3 points, but Man United didn't deserve to win this game (they deserved to win the Carling Cup last Sunday, but not with a 4-0 scoreline). A draw would've suited the game nicely.
To end this blog entry on the note of footie, it's the second leg of the Champions League games tomorrow and Wednesday, so here's my predictions on how the British teams'll do:
Barcelona v Chelsea
Barca have the definate advantage. They're at home, and leading 2-1. However, it will depend heavily on the team Jose Mourinho fields. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Chelsea might edge it 4-3 on aggregate, though they'll get the 4th in Extra Time. I'd rather see Barcalona win though.
Arsenal v Real Madrid
In the first leg, Arsenal were the first British team to beat Madrid at their home ground (I know what it's called, but I can't spell it :P), though it was a very narrow 1-0. Still, the away goals always seem to come into play when needed, and I think Madrid will be trying to prove themselves at Highbury. 1-1 on the night, Arsenal winning 2-1 on agg.
Liverpool v Benfica
Losing 1-0 after the first leg, the only thing Liverpudlians should be proud about is that they're at home for the Second Leg. However, the team that knocked Man United out will be after another top British club's scalp, and the reigning European Champions' scalp would be a fine one at that. Despite the passion, the game will end 0-0, Benfica advancing.
Villareal v Rangers
2-2 after the first leg, and the Spaniards have 2 away goals. It's a mammoth task for Rangers to overcome, and if Villareal score the tie is as good as dead. There's bound to be at least one goal in it, but I don't see Rangers advancing any further. 2-0 to Villareal, 4-2 on aggregate.
OK, with that, I'm going now. If you kept pressing Page Down, and you've only just stopped, you've just skipped today's blog entry. You probably might start reading yesterdays. I don't know. I suppose you could just keep pressing Page Down until you get to the bottom of the page (or press End, that should give you the same desired effect).
Till next time.
