Once I pick her up, we're gonna get lunch and then drive down to Atlanta. We'll get there at about 5pm where we will meet up with my great friend Jason and his girlfriend Virginia, at which point it will turn into a double date. But the main event of the date will be seeing the band TV on the Radio live.
She's heard a couple of songs by them but hasn't REALLY heard them. But she said she liked what she heard (she still doesn't know that's what I'm planning... I subtly namedropped and gave her the MySpace page).
But I would enjoy reading any input. Live concert of a band she hasn't really heard before a good idea? It's not gonna be a long concert. They'll play for about an hour and a half. Would she be more comfortable in the front or sitting down up in the balcony? I have to admit that TV on the Radio is one of my favorite bands... I would absolutely love seeing them up front. But I definitely don't want it to cater completely to my tastes.

I made a decision to look for local musicians to get involved with my album project.
The biggest issue I have with my songwriting is on the music side. I believe that I write good songs, and that's been backed up by countless musicians and industry professionals.
I'm very happy with my lyric writing, and the general melodies. The issue comes when I convert the song from my mind, into reality. Because I only play a bit of guitar, I cannot seem to get the expression I want out of the instruments. Like I do with the vocals. I'm sure that I will in time, but I really want to get this album out before the end of this year.
I was chatting to a friend of mine who goes to the odd karaoke, and I discovered that he was in a band. He has requested my company a number of times at an open mic night. So I finally went on wednesday.
I ended up getting up and doing 2 numbers, with the help of a guitarist.
I must admit that I really enjoyed the night. The venue sort of reminded me a bit of the cavern club (of beatles fame). It was underground, and all arches. The acoustics were fantastic because the long arches acted like funnels for the sound.
At the end of the night, I was approached by a few of the musicians. Who asked me to come down and perform again. So I said I would learn one of their songs if they would learn one for me. We were all in agreement. So it looks like I'll be doing it again soon.
This experience sparked an idea. I could visit a number of open mic nights and get chatting with some of the musicians. Then see if any of them are interested in helping me out with developing my album. I'll make a CD of a few songs for them to listen to. If they like it then we will take it from there :)
I'm going to be putting more about this in my blog, as it happens. I found 2 potential musicians on wednesday, though nothing is in concrete until they are sitting in my studio, recording with me.
OK. So what's been going on on my Youtube channel. They have a habit of changing things, and this time they've removed the total video views from their statistics. So I had to do a manual count up. Here's the latest:
My subscribers are up to 746.
Channel views have increased to 17,049.
After a long counting process. I can tell you that my total viewing figures are 262,877.

It's all good fun.
It has been a mad rush week. I've done some work on my own website, so that I can get it ready for the release of the album. I've changed some of the information. Put some more links in. I have also added an email registration on my home page, so that anyone can register for updates on the progress of the album.
I pointed out that the email address will only be used for album updates, and will not be given to anyone else. I've also put that same registration on another website.
So now I can confidently share my web address. I've been running it for a few years already, but I haven't done much with it up to now :)

There is a music player on there that has got a selection of songs that I've created over the last 4 years. I could have removed them, because the recording quality is not very good on some, and the vocals are less than perfect on a number of them. However, I want to leave them there for a while to show where my recordings started, and all the flaws with it.
Now this next bit is very interesting. I was contacted by a friend on Youtube, who had started up a live internet TV channel, and he asked if he could feature my tracks on his shows. I agreed, of course. He informed that when the first show aired, it received over 1,000 viewers in the first 3 hours!!!

This guy needs some more original music videos for his channel, so if you write your own stuff, and want it aired on a live internet broadcast channel, then go to the link above and contact him via his email address. It could provide you with some essential exposure, just like it has for me :)
Finally I'll finish up with the Youtube figures.
I got 2 more subscribers, but then I lost 2 :( So it remains 681.
The channel views are now at 15,146.
There has been another few thousand views to all of my videos so that figure now stands at 229,501.
I am of course talking about the need for spiritual enlightenment! The need for a mass global collective consciousness. Peace is at our fingertips, yet it seems so hopelessly far away sometimes, doesn't it? Such an idea should, one would think, be universally welcomed and accepted. Shouldn't everyone be trying to live with the best of intentions and the warmest of hearts in an attempt to create that idealistic Utopia? That state of Shambhala? Life, as we know it, could be exponentially better!!! Our health, our homes, our relationships (intimate or not) and generally our overall happiness could be the best we would have ever known. A shift in mindset could see the development of impoverish nations, the feeding of every hungry belly, the adoption of cultural beliefs into other cultures and so forth.
Now I am definitely not the most spiritually inclined, nor am I the most positive of people at times, but as an individual, I have begun to devote myself to following a healthy spiritual lifestyle. I am most assuredly not religious in any way, so I searched for something else to fulfill that void I was feeling. I have met many many wonderful amazing people and through these people I discovered a whole world right in front of me! It's the same world you and I both live in , the same people are around me, but it is 100% different. It is a world based entirely on love and energy. A close friend, who calls himself the "Love Activist" taught me the most important thing I have ever learned to this date. No matter who we are, where we are from, what we believe or don't believe in, we all have the capability to do one universal thing. LOVE. Yes, that's it. It really is as simple as that, though I never before would have guessed it. Love is something we are born with and blessed with. With enough love, we can conquer all trials and tribulations. We can eliminate greed, and fear for with love, we need nothing else but each other. With enough love, everyone will be taken care of because that's what love ensures.
Life is hard, make no mistake about that. But with the beauty of such things as Synchronicity and Manifestation, we can start to see how our choices affect our paths, and how our thoughts are one of the most powerful tools we have. Our intentions that we set can determine our successes, our thoughts can forge a path through anything. By connecting ourselves to the beauty in everything, and embracing the feeling of love we can begin a progressive and powerful change in our lives. It will not happen overnight, and will not happen if we don't open our eyes to the truth many people have not yet been introduced to. But with time and patience, we can overcome the dramas of today, the genocides, the wars and the famines.
So educate yourselves! Pick up Celestine Prophecy, or watch The Secret. Learn the Sedona Method, learn to meditate or simply talk with those around you who may have reacher a higher spiritual frequency. There are many others like myself who know a tonne more than I do at this point. But what I do know is that the time for change is now, and that it is our movement that will encourage others to follow suite!
As Bob Marley once said, "Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery, None but ourselves can free our minds."
We need a political party that represents both the poor and the rich
We need credit cards that are not designed to keep you in debt
We need mortgages that are simple and clear and no fine print
I am thinking no fine print on the credit cards either
We need less pressure to have more work in a day
And more pressure to balance time to work, sleep, eat, and sit with your family
We need more pressures to complete tasks without so many steps
Be able to have a doctor to go to
Buy all the food that we need
Go to a Library to read
We need more pressure to build our neighborhoods,
Know our neighbors
Say Hello with nothing more to say
We need moments to catch up and rejuvenate
Leaders that we can depend on
Jobs we can grow in
Homes we can keep forever if we want to
We need streets that we all keep clean
Area's our children can play in without fear within the parent or the child
Homes that aren't behind iron gates
We need water we can drink
Streets without litter
People not living on streets
Care for those who can not care for themselves
We need to stop the blame
That someone who isn't ahead does not deserve time or a chance to gain ground
That people who need help are not to be walked by
That people who can help don't believe it is a choice
We need the love inside of us to not accept what is not working in our lives
We need to hear politics that makes actual sense, without explanation
Without fine print
Without loyalty to any party
However loyalty to US, people
People are a party
People are a race
People are of religion
People need food
People need homes
People need learning institutions
People need each other
People need love
There is no soul on Earth more important than another
When we can come to the thoughts that anyone is here by mistake or isn't worthy of what People need or want
Then we have lost already
There is no Them, since everyone is a them to someone
There is only an US, since we all share this same place called Earth
It includes US, Animals and Nature
And everything else is only a reflection of our needs, wants and desires
When you look around and find something to complain about
Look around again and find something you can do
That is balance
Pick up trash that you see when you can
Smile to another and remind them WE are here, there is not really a me and a you
Remember that there is no way anyone can do this alone
There is no way any leadership can work without people, nor can people find order without some kind of leadership
We each have a job to do,
We have a job to live and experience and grow
Yet we spend so much time trying not to change, to keep everything the same
Yet nothing is really meant to stay the same
It is meant to evolve and allow itself to find greater growths in each day
Most of our frustrations come when we feel we haven't done enough
Or we have done too much and no one notices
It is simply important that you notice
You see, if you notice, it can only be shared
And all the sharing of what you see, can only be felt
And feeling drives our actions
And ignites another
Anything can happen
As love finds a way to propel
That is how it is when you are thinking something
And then one day see it on TV,
Or hear another speaking about it
We are one
We hear it, we say it, and we can now learn how to be it
Everything has a blueprint and we are the blueprint of life
Life is the answer to why we are here
Living is how we do it
Awareness is how we know what to do
And love is the fuel of it all
Love is our true leadership
Love is our stem
And Love is our search
Keep loving and you have already begun the movement
The movement of living life as you can dream it
And dream it as your life gives you answers
And answers keep you thriving for more
