Rose in a Cage
I swallowed the key...
Bitter silver on a sweet tongue,
I opened up my windows and remembered...
What it was, back then.

One small party without an ending,
liquor, mirrors, numbness and dance floors
my hips spun and my body went warm
my hair flying
my limbs stretching
black boots and that white tank top
it wasn't my time to go...

I open up my windows, some Friday nights, and I simply remember...

A New Nobel Prize Winner
Doris Lessing, one of my favorite authors, has won the Nobel Prize for Literature. I couldn't be happier.

Banging on a trash can, strumming on a street light!
Life got real [/lame] real [/fast] lately....

Pretty much in the groove of college life: studying, partying, studying, partying.....crashing. It's become a daily thing now. It's good and yet it's probably too much of a good thing. I would like to take the time one day and just sit by the lake or under a tree and do absolutely nothing. That would be a great day indeed....Away from all the mindless masses, the pervasive media, and the rat maze that is life. Also I found another quote that made my day: "You go to heaven for the climate, to hell for the company."---Mark Twain.

Ah, everything Mark Twain says is literary gold....I fucking love it.

Madeleine L'Engle RIP

1918 -2007

Suddenly there was a great burst of light through the Darkness. The light spread out and where it touched the Darkness the Darkness disappeared. The light spread until the patch of Dark Thing had vanished, and there was only a gentle shining, and through the shining came the stars, clear and pure.
