NORML is the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws, and apparently last semester they started a chapter here at Humboldt State. I got a message on facebook today that they were having a forum to talk about the marijuana regulations here, and i went to see what it was about. the people there were really cool, and it turns out that i knew a few from orientation, smoking with them in the beginning of the year, and so on. There was also a speaker on the panel who had an anxiety disorder and was using medicle marijuana to help him with it because nothing else had. I talked to him afterwards and didn't tell him that i have PTSD, but i did tell him that i'd experienced the same things with anxiety attacks and how nothing else had helped me. it was so cool because we could relate on the helplessness of nothing making us feel better, and therefore wondering why even bother trying. He gave me his doctor's number, and i'm going to give it a call tomorrow.
Two hours after that ended, they had their weekly meeting which i decided to go to after hearing what the club had to offer and seeing how active and motivated they actually are to having some sort of reform on campus. it was awesome because i knew at least half the people there from pretty much what i said above- orientation, smoking with them at the beginning of the year, or class. i spend most of the time with a couple of other people that i knew coloring posters for a movie that they're showing next week. i'll take pictures of the two that i did and post them on selfncreativity later on. Jessie, the girl who gave me my hemp braclette at orientation, said that we should have a pot luck for all of the new people, (like me) which means all kinds of ganja food and of course the stuff itself. this is really exciting for me. i might be able to make some new friends, and if not, at least have some people i can smoke with a lot, lol. i'm kinda scared that i'm jinxing that by typing it here because of how my life goes, but i don't know. I'm really glad that i found out about NORML and went today! :D i really wanna go smoke a bowl right now to celebrate, but i have a lot of work i still need to get done. :( probably the soonest chance i'll have to smoke is friday or saturday, and i may get drunk then instead.
