Iron Chef Starbucks: Cake Battle
This morning I woke up at 7:40 in order to bake a cake.
Hold up, what?
That's right, I had to wake up at 7:40 to bake a cake because I was going to brunch and work was at 1:00 so I wouldn't have time to bake in between. Anyways, I made this delicious two layer yellow cake with Mandarin oranges and their juice blended into the cake batter, and with a very light frosting made out of whipped topping, vanilla pudding mix, and crushed pineapple. As Amanda said, "That sounds gross." Yet, Amanda voted me first place... Hmm.
Anyways, I went to work, and it was a pretty good day. I got to have a lunch break, which was unexpected, so I jsut went to Ralphs and bought a Taurus Russatus (Red Bull) and made a Green Tea Lemonade but with half Lemonade and half Red Bull. Delicious.
Half an hour before I was off, we had a fatty rush in Drive Thru, which i was primary register on. Uggh. But eventually it was 6:00 and time for Iron Chef Starbucks.
Five people entered this week, the theme obviously being Cake. Amanda entered with some cherry cake remniscent of cobbler. Scott had a fricking four layered chocolate cake which was very attractive, but tasted average. Jessica made some basic Betty Crocker Strawberry cake that I could point out in the store and Meigan made a Cheesecake.
Meigan and Amanda ended up tieing for first, with me coming in second, but I think our voting system is flawed.
I'm sad, I didn't get to hear "Safiotou" today. But I'm happy, because Katie gave me the new T.A.T.U. CD last night. Oh god I'm a loser...

P.S. MY BIRTHDAY'S IN TWO DAYS!!!
