Lakers @ MindSay

It's what everyone wanted.
It's on now!

It's the matchup that everyone was anticipating- Lakers vs. Celtics.

I'll take The Truth and the Celtics.

Beat LA! Beat LA!

NBA Playoffs

The Utah Jazz evened up their series with the Lakers at 2 games each. It was one of the best games so far of these playoffs. Deron Williams had 29 points and 14 assists in the 123-115 overtime win. Carlos Boozer had 14 points and 12 boards. The series will continue Wednesday in L.A.

The Spurs tied up their series with the Hornets at 2 with a 100-80 blow out in San Antonio. The Spurs controlled the game from the start and had little trouble in this one. Tim Duncan had 22 points, 15 boards and 4 blocks. Tony Parker added 21 for S.A. Game 5 is Tuesday in New Orleans.

Houston Rockets on their 22nd Winning Streak!
Security Level: Low (Public / Everybody)

As of right now, the Houston Rockets now #1 in the Western Conference!

On top of that, the Houston Rockets are in their 22nd Winning Streak after defeating the Los Angeles Lakers, who "was" #1 in the Western Conference.

They currently rank at #2 for the longest winning streak record in NBA History!

Twenty TWO!!! (...and counting!)

I've been meaning to blog about the Rockets, but I was too afraid to jinx them...

A Day Of Basketball
Watching the Suns and Cavs on ABC.  Well, it just ended.  Good game, although the Suns pulled away and won pretty decisively.

The Spurs and Lakers are about to play, and I'm going to watch that game, too.  A day of sitting in front of the tv watching sports is my idea of perfection.  This doesn't make me lazy.  I just appreciate being able to kick back and do what I enjoy.

PURPLE AND GOLD v. 3.0
Current mood:  excited
Category: Sports

OK, so it wasn't Game Eight in the ongoing series between the Phoenix Suns and my LA Lakers, but it was impressive.

No Kobe.

No Kwame.

No problem.

Lakers win 114-106 last night in the NBA season opener.

My heart tells me we can go 82-0 but my head is thinking more like 55-27. That's 10 games better than last year and given how much the team improved during the season under Phil, there's no reason they can't pick up where they left off last April.

Beat the evil Suns, Clippers, Warriors and hated Sacramento Kings enough times this year and they're division winners guaranteed a top 3 seed in the playoffs.

Anything less is a disappointment.
