I wish I were computer literate enough to make my own blog designs like some of the few I've seen. I have some great ideas but no knowledge of how to go about it.

 

Although I do like my frog hangin' on for dear life while the other frogs just sit contentedly waiting for a bug to fly by.

They got to this point because for a long time I thought what I was getting from them was love. Now that I have experienced differently I have realized that I handed them power in exchange for tolerance.

I no longer need or desire their tolerance. And any relationship they have with me will be on my terms. I am tired of living in fear of their displeasure. I am tired of putting my life on the bottom rung to accomplish what they desire for me.

Mostly, I'm tired of feeling scared. They have never earned my fear nor my trust. And now they shall have neither.

But to you my love,
To you my best.
Only truth would allow
Such happiness, blessed.
For you my soul,
May this truth
Be still,
I love only you,
And I always will.

Hearts in silence blend,
Minds and words sigh low.
I 'd tell you if I could,
Would tell if I'd know.

The 4th of July is the time when we celebrate our nation-- a time to reflect on the freedoms which we believe are not granted by our government, but are self-evident rights for all humankind.  Time for the Independence Day Quiz which asks,  "How much do you really know?"  Every day thousands leave their homelands to settle here in the land of the free.  Before they become citizens they are required to take a citizenship test and score 80%.  Could you pass this test if you took it today?

 

Our quiz is made up of 20 questions found on the actual citizenship test with a few curveballs in the mix.  The last ten questions may be a bit harder, but a score of around 24 out of 30 is considered a passing grade.
