First day of vacation in, and I've been goofing off and being lazy. :) The call for this morning was postponed 'til Thursday so I can be included. Lauren said they were all heartbroken that there was no meeting today, haha.

I took some pictures of the kids earlier, before I whisked them away to the SPCA for their rabies vaccinations.

The rabies vaccination took all of 15 minutes for both of them, and in that time I was offered a job... after I filled out the required information form, one of the organizers asked if I was looking for a job. I didn't think she was serious, but said if they needed part-time help I was available. I said that I was already a volunteer with the SPCA, and she told me to, the next time I was in to volunteer, check with one of the office workers about PT work and to mention her name. I'm going to go back in on Wednesday to see what they have, exactly. The woman I spoke with today mentioned kennel work or office work, either of which I'm up for doing.

Exciting! And Lord knows I could use the extra cash.

Oooh, there was just a commercial on Animal Planet for a special on the Michael Vick case... it airs Sunday, August 24 at 10:00 p.m. Everyone tune in!

Yes, yes, I'm feeling the need to share some pictures.

Picture #1:  My youngest sister and my pride and joy, Tabetha, during her first Christmas when she was six months old nearly 22 years ago.  I keep this photo in my wallet as if I'm her mom or something.

Picture #2:  Cesar, Jr, now 13 months old.  He looks more like he could be 2.  'Course he is already 32 inches tall.

Picture #3:  Don't think I mentioned it before, but Tabetha did deliver her gorgeous daughter on June 26, the day after her 22nd birthday.  Evelyn Melody.  She's so beautiful.  She's 2 weeks old here and already looks just like her momma.

Picture #4:  To give you all visual proof that Josh is indeed alive and well, here he is on the 4th.  As always, he's playing some kind of game.  And yes, he chopped off his hair.  Makes me want to cry.  But I'm getting used to it.

Picture #5:  We now have a pair of kitties, not just one.  The little one is Bruce.  He's around 12 weeks old now.  He's utterly adorable but dangerous with his claws when he's not asleep.  When he's awake, Bagheera tends to run from him.

Hmmm. What's in this bowl? It's filled with water. Maybe Mommy bought me a tiny swimming pool?
