Weird Mistakes

Ok, so like... The power went out last Wednesday, I forgot if I blogged about that or not... It was during preperation for a banquet. I got in trouble for not being in the kitchen during that time... But, anywho... So, the power went out last night as well... Right when we were serving seconds... Iyiyi... Well, the purpose of this blog is well... There is no purpose, but I have a few random things to share.

Last week, we were serving veggie-links(vegetarian hotdogs) and when I opened the can, something was oddly strange about it... It wasn't veggie-links... It was Tender Rounds(Vegetarian Meatballs) At first, I assumed I had grabbed the wrong can, but the label said it was those links...

Well, that's just one odd thing. The next thing, is today. This morning, I opened up the carton of strawberries, and dumped them into the strainer over the sink. Well, at the bottom of the carton was an interesting surprise, that actually reminded me of someone, we call... "The Gum Guy". Yes, there was a peice of Wrigley's Spearmint gum, still in the wrapper, under the pile of strawberries.... Strange...

Ok, now on to Sports! Yesterday, we played Mariners against Devil Rays... We won. Then, we played against the Pirates... We lost. The Cardinals are currently ahead, so to tie, we have to beat them once, and to be number one, we have to beat them twice... Honestly, I think it would be best to come in at a tie, because then, it saves people from being angry, and it contains us in a humble atmosphere. Ok, so I'm wasting my short break here by rambling. Life at camp is hard, but it's fun. I'm enjoying the friendships I have made. I hope that nothing ruins those. I'm not sure what I'm gonna do about going home. Ya know, I really want to go home, but a small part of me doesn't want this to end. Sad, eh? Ok... Have a wonderful day, Mindsay!

I Know Why Bottled Whiskey Sings
Last Wednesday we played kickball. Yes, the recess-type game. It's our attempt to socialize and remain active with so many sedentary yet lovable activities at home. And who doesn't love kickball? Throw in your favorite beverage, smoking being optional on the field or off it and you have a fully customizeable recreational sport.

To those of you thinking, "But beer would counteract any caloral losses..." to you I say, "Shut up."

Sometimes, after playing, I'm reminded that I'm not a little kid, especially when I have sore muscles from the more strenuous runs and leaps. This last time I must have done something to my foot because it was sore after the game. During the subsequent work days, my foot would ache in the morning, warm up towards Noon and then as it fatigued due to use, it would begin its ache again. I've been gesturing towards my foot as my hobbling grew more pronounced, wryly noting that I'm getting older and will be 30 next year. 30 years old and playing kickball. Jokes like, "When I'm 80 I'll comment on the weather and how it causes old niggling kickball injuries to resurface" and "It's going to storm tonight, the ol' kickball injury is acting up."

Yesterday, Huzband and I moved some medium to heavy furniture around. This renewed and more forceful pain running along my heel and up along the side of my Achilles tendon causes me to imagine a plank of wood in which a nail causes an inconsequential small split to run along the grain- eventually in this diabolical imagining, various weighty things are placed atop it and soon that small tear in the wood is a jagged and painful percussioned stretching. And out of the black hole or jaw-gaping maw of pain only a moan, so low and guttural can be heard. One instinctively wants to either comfort or run.

I'm in the unique position to do both.

On the other side of things, the living room looks very cute!

I couldn't care what they say.
I almost burnt down the school today, no joke.

But, first. I read this Pro-Choice slogan and I liked it a lot (I shared it with a few people already :P):
"KEEP YOUR ROSARIES OFF MY OVARIES!"

Anyway, now on to burning down the school:

We had to do a Lab today in Chemistry. And, as we all know by now, Tom is my lab partner, but he's not . . . the brightest crayon in the box, sometimes. Tom plugged in the burner, but the dumb ass had rested the burner on top of its cord. Tom told me to turn on the burner, so I did, without knowing that it was on the cord. A few moments pass by, and Tom and I are like, "what's that smell?" The fucking thing was burning through the cord and you could see the wires and everything, it was terrible. I'm like, "Ahhhhh!!!" And Tom looks at me and says, "You could've started a fire!!"

x_x

Tom not only called me "Honey" today, but he called me his "life partner," which I laughed about then but now sort of creeps me out. O_o Sorry Tom, I don't do idiots.  ;) :P

That was really the only thing of importance today. Except, I actually had a civilized conversation with Robbie in 6th hour, that surprised me.

Terri (not my Terri on Mindsay, my other Terri) was on my team for kickball today, yay. (=

I was in charge of Ms. Montgomery's class today, since she was not here, yay again. (=

If I wasn't tired, I'd probably think of more intelligent things to say. Oh wellllllll.

<3
