Dads can cry :O

I went out to lunch with my dad and brother today, and while we were waiting for my brother to arrive at Culver's, my dad and I were sitting down, and the baby gave me a strong kick near my ribs, and it surprised me a little, and he asked me if the baby kicked, I told him yes, and offered him the side of my round tummy. He excitedly laid his hand above baby and waited...the baby knew it was in the spotlight and gave him a wonderful kick.  His mouth changed to an "O" shape as he took his hand away, and tears crept into his eyes.

            I’ve been posting a lot of articles from other sources lately, but honestly, this time I just couldn’t resist.  I think this story might bring new meaning to the question, “What would Jesus do if He were photographed while praying?”

Colo. lawmaker kicks photographer during prayer

Upset that news photographers were taking his picture during lawmakers' morning prayer, a rookie Colorado legislator gave a Denver photojournalist a swift kick in the knee today, the Rocky Mountain News reports.

Colorado Springs Republican Douglas Bruce, an anti-tax crusader sworn in this afternoon to fill a state House vacancy, kicked RMN photographer Javier Manzano, who had crouched before Bruce as he stood for the chamber's morning prayer.

"Don't do that again," Bruce snapped before shoeing Manzano.

Afterward, Bruce defended his knee-jerk reaction, saying he had warned the photographers against taking his picture during the prayer and Pledge of Allegiance.

"In 21 years, I don't think there has ever been an instance where I had to do something to stop somebody from behaving in such a coarse and disgusting way," Bruce told reporters.

House rules give photographers unrestricted access during prayers or any other activities on the House floor.

Asked later whether he planned to apologize, Bruce said: "I think the Rocky Mountain News photographer ought to apologize to the House and to me and to all the people whom he disrupted. He needs to get a lesson in manners and decorum."

Manzano declined to comment, his paper says.

Update at 7:24 a.m. ET: Legislators from both parties are criticizing Bruce.

"Violence towards anyone, on the House floor or on the street, anywhere - it's atrocious, it's inappropriate, I don't know how many negative words I can say towards that," House Minority Leader Mike May, a fellow Republican, tells the Rocky Mountain News. "This isn't over. We're exploring what the appropriate response is as a body."

The local CBS affiliate has footage of Bruce kicking the photographer.

 

And by kicks I don't mean sex!  Whenever I sit down from work, the baby loves to move around, just a few minutes ago it was having a party and was 'kicking' high and low, which makes me think it was partying with its arms in the air, lol.  But when I lay down, I just can't seem to get to sleep, it takes a long time for it to tucker out, and even when I switch to my other side to lay, the cycle starts all over again :P

But anyways, how has everybody else been?  I've been neglecting Mindsay and loving Guild Wars too much :D

I've wanted so bad to go clothes shopping, but I can't, because the stuff that I would like I would stretch out, or not be able to wear at all for another 4 months at least...ugh, just a bit frustrated :P

Other than today I can't recall the last time I was kicked in the head. Course, if I could, it probably wasn't a very good kick.


But with the lack of times I think I get my head kicked in, I think it's odd it'd happen accidentally twice in one day. By two different people, and less than a minute a part.
First kick got me right at the front of my left temple,  and the second one was closer to the back of my head on the left side. 
It was taking a lot of energy to stand at that point.

But really? twice in a minute? That's weird.
