Music Studio Mastery!

The only decent thing worth commenting on today is what I did between the hours of 18:00 and 19:35.

I spent the day drumming away again - I finished off the career.

Well, I have a few gigs left - the ones you have to buy, and the Rock Brigade level.

But, I "unlocked" Pull Me Under for the fourth time - and that's the credit roll.

So anyway - I got bored with drums after a while, so I did a few songs in the vocals quickplay.

Then I got bored of that and did some bass.

When I got bored of bass, curiosity got the best of me.

Shelly previously told me that the Music Studio is a lot easier than it looks and sounds.

I have sheet music - so I thought I'd try making one of my favourite songs from Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time.

Oh come on, it's EVERYONE'S favourite song from LOZOOT.

I started with the bassline - one of my favourite things to bash out on the keyboard when I'm bored.

Oh, how I annoyed the rest of my music class in years 10 and 11 - sitting there while I wanged out the repetitive bassline.

Saria's Song has some funky drum beats in it - but I don't have the sheet music for drums - only piano.

So I matched up the bassline to the drums.

It sounds pretty good. During the louder parts, I added in some double-hits too - like blue&orange combos.

It doesn't look hard for Expert - but I still can't do it. :)

I can manage 100% on the Expert lead, and about 98-99% on the Expert bass.

Drums will take me a little longer.

I can't wait for Ash and Shelly to hear it.

Shelly is happy for me - she sounds pleased with me, having figured it out. I played it to her on the phone. She says it sounds a lot like it should.

I think Ash will be impressed. :)
